N0x0ss: I don't really know if you're joking by referring to the games indirectly because I haven't played any of the games on promotion so I don't know what there story is :/...

tinyE: I was referring to a REALLY popular tv show in the States in the late 80's, early 90's. I didn't mean it as a troll or an insult and I was kind of hoping someone who was a fan would get the gag sooner than later. OOOOPS!

On a serious note this is a great sale because to be honest I wasn't aware of a lot of these and that Wax Works looks great for starters. :D
Don't worry tinyE, when I read your first post I completely got it, great show, really like those kind of anthology movies/tv series, much more imaginative than the cr*p you get today.
An RTT bundle pleaaaase:)

tinyE: talking about fantasy tv shows
I really enjoyed Eerie Indiana http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eerie,_Indiana , and Goosebumps http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goosebumps_(TV_series) .
Being American you must have watched those.

gibbeynator: Anyone know if they solved that problem in Simon 3D where you can't actually finish the game?
No idea, but I am looking at Simon 3D with some interest as I enjoyed the first one. What was the problem in the original version of Simon 3D?

Supposedly the final puzzle cannot be solved because it requires the actual game CD.
A humble request for DVD version of Tex Murphy Overseer.
Wow. First promo in a while where I don't own a single title.

Kewl.
Thank you, I was waiting for a promo on Runaway 2 (though 50% off had been quite enough) as I already had 1 and 3, and completing the Broken Sword collection with the fourth instalment is just a great bonus. With those two, I've got them all.
As usual one great promo! Thanks

CrowTRobo: Has anyone played Waxworks or Robinson's Requiem? What did you think? They look interesting but I know nothing about them except from reading the reviews on the gamecards.
Seven hours late, I'm playing Waxworks. So far its a typical old school DOS point and click. I think I must be doing something wrong thought because I keep getting beheaded so evidently I haven't mastered the art of self defense.

I especially like at the beginning when you ask your assistant (a crystal ball) for tips and it tells you to pick up EVERYTHING. All in all not as good as "Waxworks" the movie but way better than "Waxworks 2: Beyond the Portal of Time". Then again that movie sucked beyond suck and actually had NOTHING to do with waxworks.

They did a remake a few years ago with Paris Hilton. That bitch must be able to suck a golf ball through a garden hose because she sure can't act for shit. Even though she was dead fairly early on I still couldn't sit through it, it was SO BOOOORRRRRIIIING.

That is all. :D For now.

The Feeble Files. Should I get it? I read the reviews. Still in doubt. Gimme some opinions.

graspee: edit: In fact I see Ishar and Robinson's Requiem in there
Uh? I swear when I first joined GOG I entered every gamecard to check them, but it's the first time I see Ishar. I wonder how it got past unnoticed.

Eh, whatever. It doesn't look like something I would enjoy. The other games in offer OTOH...
I'm glad I didn't spend every last cent in the summer sale. :-)

:/ why the 60% off sale the day after a bunch of these were 50% off? I bought yesterday because the sale was ending; if I knew the same games I wanted were going to be 60% off the next day I would have waited.

If we always knew what would happen in the future, we'd have avoided many mistakes in the past. Sadly, we cannot know the future.
