Arcanum, Gabriel Knight, Zeus+Poseidon, Quest for Glory 1-5, and 27 other Activision games 60% off!

As the weekend draws near, it's time to reveal the next exciting promo on GOG.com. Behold the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/activision_weekend_promo_05_10_12/]Activision Greats, a superb collection of 31 memorable titles. Oh, wait... that's wrong. What I meant was: 31 game boxes. Some of them contain more than just one game, so the actual number of Activision Greats amounts to impressive 54 titles! And you can get them all 60% off until Tuesday Ocober 9 at 3:59 AM GMT. Let's take a peek into some of the boxes!

Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magic Obscura summons the spirit of Fallout into a unique world where steampunk meets fantasy in a creative mixture of imagination and pure isometric RPG awesomness. In Arcanum, you get the absolute freedom to create any kind of character you want and pursue whatever quest you find the most fitting. If you're looking for a game that will drain dozens of hours of your free time--here's your best pick!

Gabriel Knight, a tormented young writter, came to be a celebrity of the point-and-click adventure genre. The first game he stars in--subtitled "Sins of the Fathers"--features beautiful pixel-art graphics, over 7000 lines of fully-voiced dialogs, and a dark story balancing on the verge of madness and occult. The game launched a successful and recognizable series that earned its place in the adventure games' hall of fame. Be sure to check the other two games that complete the trillogy: Gabriel Knight2: The Beast Within and Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.

Quest for Glory 1-5 is an amazing collection of Sierra's innovative action-RPGs. Each of the five games can be played as a whole but you can also treat the series as one big adventure, as the character and his accumulated wealth can carry on from one game into another. Become a mage, a thief, or a knight and explore the five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek myths. Experience the game that set many standards in the "new school" of computer RPG.

Those excellent games are but a tip of the iceberg of Activision awesomeness. There are dozens of other fantastic titles you can grab 60% off, so head out to Activision Greats promo page and go nuts!

Cavalieroscuro: Quest for Glory seems wonderful :(

Do support them too if you like QfG.
Oh I missed that one, I've not had time to go through kickstarter for a while. I keep getting updates by email from 9 projects I supported and haven't had a chance to read any, I'm probably missing out on a lot.
Ah man,
This is gonna burn a hole in my pocket.
What an awesome promo!

Thanks GOG.com!

amok: "31 games for: $94.89
you save: $142.80"

hmmmmmmmmm......
There's a little red guy on your right shoulder, telling you to do it.

"Just do it."

Aningan: ...already got Arcanum and VtM:R. Those are the only games I got an interest in from this promo.
Same here.
Thanks GOG for another nice promo.
Ahhh.... Quest for Glory... for me it is the best adventure series Sierra ever created. And on my top adventures list probably on 2nd place, just after Monkey Island.

Please note: I do not play not really like adventure games, but even taking that into consideration, great trio of Monkey Island, Quest for Glory and Day of the Tentacle was must-play point and click games for every serious gamer in the past, including me.

Too bad I do not have any spare cash at the moment so QfG will need to wait longer on my wishlist.

-1d8 of games that won't run for inexplicable reasons.

I thought Activision was a publisher releasing "not my type" games and yet what a revelation, I don't own only 15 games from this massive promo, heh. I'm torn about Arcanum and Phantasmagoria 2 (Aww, Therese...). I played both but I'm unsure I'd play them again / need their e-backup. Well, I got three days to decide :o.

Nice promo, GOG. I hope it's an omen Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is coming! :D

adamzs: Hmm, I'm undecided about Pharaoh + Cleopatra and Zeus + Poseidon. I'm not usually into strategy games, but city builders I like. Anyone know if those two can be played as managerial games with little to no attention paid to combat? And if so, are they decent games from that aspect?
If i remember correctly both games can be played with little or no combat. I thought in these games you can eventually choose between combat oriented goals or trading/building goals.
Awesome promo GOG! Many of my favorite games on there, will definately get those I do not have yet.

Thanks, they sound like games I'd enjoy. The reviews are pretty reaffirming too. I think I'll grab both later.
So, how's Pharaoh vs Children of the Nile?
Argh! You have to do this when I have to leave for the weekend therefore ensuring I won't be able to make any trades for these! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
