bluewave256: Maybe I'm using a CRT? Why don't you think that and assume automatically I'm using and LCD. It's obvious if I'm a good gamer that I use the correct monitor for a game.

There are scaling problems. And you can obviously note them but you don't want to. And I don't know why.

Example: I've set my resolution on my CRT to 1024x768 and the text is totally illegible.

Because the text font is a cursive one it's hard to read. Even at 640x480.

And certainly impacts my gameplay not being able to play with ease.

See the image I'm attaching.

In the menu it's readable but in the game were the text go away with the voice over it's difficult to read. Even more because I'm not a native speaker of the english language.

Tormentfan: I REPEAT, I have no visible problem, apart from the aforementioned blurry text.

Do not tell me what I do and do not see.
Maybe what you consider "no visible problem" is a visible problem. Look maybe you are the lucky one who see the game like was intended to look like in the Software mode but from my experience on many forum there is a group of people who tend to superficially look at things telling for example that there's no difference between a game in LCD native resolution and one in an upscaled one. Post me a screenshot so I can see if your 2D images are stretched or not.

Or maybe your just being anal about it and something that no one else has a problem with, you have to bleat and moan to everyone til you're heard?

This is what I was talking about. I'm not the only one. And you were not different when Soulbringer was crashing a lot. I read you posts.

Criticism is what makes games better. If no one would tell there are some problems nothing would be addressed. I appreciate Timeslip work and if it's possible I'd like also these problems solved.

PLEASE MOVE TECHNICAL ISSUE DISCUSSIONS TO THE SPECIFIC SOULBRINGER FORUM WHERE THEY ARE MORE USEFUL.
THANKS

But I wasn't moaning because of a perceived proportional difference which doesn't affect gameplay.. there are things to bitch and moan about and things that simply aren't constructive.

If the game was unplayable because of said issue then yes, I'd be sympathetic, and as you've already noticed probably the first person to get pissy about it.. but because the game looks abit squarer than it should? FFS!

It's a 13 year old game where the designers hadn't even conceived of the hardware we'd be trying to play it on.. make some allowances. The game runs, and now without crashing, what else can reasonably be expected from Gog.

There are loads of CRT designed games that don't scale properly on lcds or modern GPU's, that's just the way of it with older games and modern hardware, we all love perfection but you have to realise the issue and deal with it. I'm all for complaining, I do enough of it but there are only certain issues one can reasonably moan about before personal awareness of what's going on behind the scenes comes in to it.

Scaling =\ resolution.
