IGN Prime is offering Rochard and King Arthur free of charge (for a limited time), if you sign up for their 7-day trial. The trial subscription will automatically continue into a sub of minimum of three months (I think it costs about 15 USD), but if you don't want to continue your subscription and just try out the service, you must turn your subscription auto-renew off in the Prime settings within 2 days of creating the account. If you do that, you don't have to pay anything at any point. Registering, setting up the trial and getting the Steam keys to the games are completely free of charge.

Now, the site is a little difficult to navigate, and some people have reported problems about not being able to login, but if that happens, try a different browser or choose another password when you're registering, and it should work eventually. Here's the link: http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/rochard/

Anyone else know any good promotions/etc.?

when i tried you needed to add a credit card into the paypal account.

Do you have a credit card in paypal?

Yes, you will need to add credit card information on Paypal, but like I said, the games won't cost a penny if you turn auto-renew off once you've gotten the keys for those games.
As I understand IGN Prime's offer, you're still paying 15$ for 3 months of IGN prime this way, so the games aren't exactly free. Or am I mistaken?

The offer reads: "7 day trial, then $14.95 for 3 months", which seems to indicate that the next auto-renewal is _after_ the first 3-month period.

It means you get billed after the 7 days trial. So you do get the game for free (just tried).
I'm still afraid to try this, I don't want to be charged. :p

No, I've never been charged (and I took out a trial last year to get Orcs Must Die). As long as you cancel the account after you've got the game you won't be charged.

What happens if you try to get another trial afterwards? ;) I suppose you can't ...

Didn't IGN have a GamersGate bonus (minion pet with 15% off) for Prime subscribers? Would be interesing to know what happens to that bonus if Prime membrship isn't renewed ...

Well I took out another one to get Rochard, so I guess you can. :P

As for the GG bonus, I've no idea.
I've done this before on IGN...

For King Arthur and now for Rochard..

you just sign up for the Free Trial and cancel immediatly after you have gotten the key you toggle auto-renew off..

if you do this they won't charge you a penny... 100% guaranteed
The 7 days are free, and if your auto-renew option is on, then they will charge you for the next three months after the 7 days. It says so on the settings. If you turn the option off, it will say something along the lines of "next billing date: never" (can't remember the exact wording). And that's the whole point of a trial, you use it for free, see if you like it or not, then continue the service if you want. You will not have to be worried about getting billed if you don't want to continue the service after the week of evaluation (or in this case, after the exploitation to get two games for free :D)
I can't do this, haha.

Since I have an IGN account, it won't let me create a new account. And it won't accept my IGN account either. The hell!

What error do you get?
Yeah, if you go into IGN Prime billing settings, there's an option to turn auto-renewals off. Also, if you dig into PayPal settings (provided you used PayPal to get the trial), you should be able to turn off automatically authorised payments to IGN by hovering over "Profile" in the toolbar, clicking "More Options", then "My Money", and then "Preapproved Payments". IGN Entertainment should be under "Merchants". Just click that, then hit cancel on the next page under the Status section.

"Invalid username or password. Please try again."

I'm just going to make a new account with my "Fishy stuff" email that I use to register accounts at less than legal places. See if that works.
