Long story short post!

Did you know, (i guess yes) what ubisoft did?

You're about 8 months too late.
Much ado about nothing. The bigger a game company gets, the more console friendly they become. We've already seen that with RockStar, EA, and a bunch of other ones. Ubisoft pulling a gimp with Watch Dogs doesn't surprise me at all. Then again, isn't a Steam-only release? That's why my face is pulling a dont-give-a-shit smirk. They've taken everyone from behind, and only now, after all this time, people are finally getting mad at not being offered lube.
That's why we prefer older and indie games, 'flawed by design' shouldn't be something conceivable and proves something is wrong in modern industry.

Dunno, I'm thinking maybe you can get it just through UPlay, if you go to them directly and bypass Steam, like you can with Origin releases but I'm not sure.
I'm fully aware that UPlay is as bad if not worse than Steam but technically....
Glad I only paid about the same as a pack of cigarettes for Watch Dogs and Ac: Black Flag on Pc :)

"Ubisoft had a screw up last year in their online store, so for some countries the prices were rediculously low for a few hours"
Since when is downgrading of PC versions big news? We should just be happy that Ubisoft were dumb enough to show the removed features in the game's first public presentation and to leave them badly hidden in the release version. :P
And yes, they do all this to fight piracy on PC....
Don't kill the poor OP please XD
Anyway, where's a Jimquisition\Totalbiscuit rant about this? I want it lol

I have to say that the entertainment provided by the Watch Dogs drama far surpasses any kind of entertainment that the game could possibly offer.
Is the OP's avatar supposed to look like that or do I need to turn off Explorer?
TB did a WTF of it a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBb2BIVrV7M

You can quite clearly see the difference between that & the altered game footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b43ZlqPvBDs

Dumb move Uplay, folk hated you before, probably wise to move the fan right now ;)
This amazes me, and don't even care about graphics. Caring about a game's graphics is stupid. It creates an environment where devs put more work into graphics than a good game and we applaud them right up to the moment we actually play the game. Three of my favourite games Bioshock, Morrowind and Half-life had terrible graphics for the time, Didn't matter as they were flipping amazing! Half-life came out the same year as Unreal and Quake 2. both graphically superior games. Half-life was the one that brought the best experience though and rightly flattened both of them and (I like Unreal and Quake 2)

So yeah graphics, not my thing. But Ubisoft must know that plenty of gamers will buy a game on graphics alone? Why handicap yourself? And now people have found out it's like you had the cure for cancer in your pocket but kept it there for fun. Why would you deny some (rather silly) gamers the thing they want most? This doesn't affect me but if people choose to get angry about this they have my blessing.

You're wrong in all three cases. No sane person accused either of these games of having terrible graphics upon release.
I hate how things are done by the top AAA publishers on a business level. This industry could do with a shake up IMO.
