Anyway, for me, Cyberpunk is the most interesting thing going on with GOG and CDP now, even though this conference didn't reveal much, the new website/blog sounds good, and also it has a free wallpaper with 'The Jacket'.

However, is it easy to make universal linux installer that installs the game AND an universally compatible build of dosbox on every linux distribution imaginable?

I apologise for writing these words, but... If it wasn't for Chaos on Deponia (all the newly announced games look great as well, but Deponia 2 definitely stole the show for me), this would have been the most underwhelming conference in GOG's history.

Crap. Wanted to download Warsow but I have dozens of games in the downloader right now. Would take days to get there... oh wait, I can download it via browser! :D

Ah... another conference that was a complete waste of my time. I don't understand why GOG is is pushing all of these crapware indie games, when they sure as hell know that 95% of people here registered to buy CLASSIC games.

If they could devote a MINUTE or two to address classic games (new releases, new publishers, plans for future releases), in their conferences, it would make a whole lot more sense.

I used to be downright excited for every Tuesday and Thursday launch (to the point of staying up to 4AM to see what released), but these days its a crapshoot between whether its a classic or another crappy Indie game (more likely the latter).

I love GOG, but it seems to be going downhill since they removed GOOD OLD GAMES from their name. :(

That's how these fixed bundles (that certain people complained are lacking from GOG) work in the competing sites like Steam. You already have bought most of the games from the same service earlier? Awww, too bad, it's not like it is taken into account in the price of the bundle though. Nor will you get any gift codes for the overlapping games either (something that GOG is now doing though, kudos for that).

I've never liked those bundles in those other stores, but as said, certain vocal members here have complained about the lack of them here several times. "Where's the bundle pricing? Where's the bundle pricing?" I wonder if they are now going to jump in with this? :D

I personally would prefer to get back the older increasing bundles where you get to pick the games you want from the bundle, and the discount percentage increases the more you pick, or already own in the bundle. But, for some reason many people here hated that model too. It gave pretty much what you are requesting, you got to pick the games yourself, from a pre-selected selection.

Actually the Deponia bundle pricing is a bit like that. If you pick both (or have one of them already), you get the higher discount. Good.

That's my feeling exactly. The people that complain about pandering and gross all they have to do is a quick browsing though a women's magazine. Ya know, those that women pay to get... with real money.

A lot of people (including women) find this sort of thing... enticing. Otherwise commercial companies would have dropped the practice ages ago.

Agreed. Their weakest point is the low - non-existent number of new release from top of the wishlist, their core market so to speak.

Eh the only reason they are raving against it is cause the MAC community has let to settle in and some of the die hard PC fans are scared about new people ;)
You do realise that the wishlist is just a - well wishlist. GOG do pay some attention to it, but honestly its not like all the items at the top of the list are being held back. IF they are not being released its because GOG hasn't/can't get hold of the release rights.

I think when most people say "bundle pricing", they mean getting the Stronghold Collection for $20 at base price, or all of The Oddboxx titles together for $15 when it's not on sale. That sort of thing. Not so much poorly conceived, limited time bundles...
