According to Windows, I'm in the "UTC - 5" timezone. If I switch to UTC 0 it becomes 18:11. Does that not take daylight savings into account?

No, currently we are still on daylight saving time, so it's GMT+2

It wasn't clarified by the GOG staffers (even though I warned them several times that this confusion would ensue), but they meant 1800 UTC GMT, not GMT, which is a distinct time zone that is +1 from UTC right now.

That's what always confuses me because I always think "GMT = UK" and UK has the same daylight savings as Germany, doesn't it?

I tuned in thinking it would've started as well since the post said 18:00 GMT.
However, we're running on GMT +1 (in Britain) at the moment because of British Summer Time so technically it's only currently 17:00 GMT.
Stupid daylight savings.

Ha, now I know it's not entirely my fault for making the mistake. At least they put a countdown this time.

Although I still expect the website to be overloaded/404 as soon as it starts.
