Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this game, doesn't have to be from GOG. Keep it legal too.
If you mean an actual boxed copy, tough one. Real tough one. The only copy of the game I could find was on ebay (which inluded a search of american results), and that was a seller in the UK, and that was for a box set of 10 games which includes wasteland. On the other hand it is considered abandonware, and so it is obtainible of websites dedicated to abandonware, but the legality of these sites are questionable at best. Good luck in your search
I seem to recall reading its owned by EA so it'll be somewhere in that warehouse at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark
I bought Ultimate RPG Archives on eBay, which amongst other games had Wasteland. If you find it, I recommend the manual as well, as it is necessary to play some of the games in the collection.

I second the Ultimate. I want to get it too, and personally if you consider that, assuming every one of those games get added to GOG for $5.99, it's really good value at its current market price
The fact that it's $282 on Amazon has scared me off.

I paid a total of $93 for it, with shipping, on eBay.
EDIT:
But that was without the box though.

$232 or $93???
Hmm... seems to me to be consumer demand, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that nobody with the authority to re-release these games actually notices or cares.
box doesn't matter, I just want to play the precursor to the fallouts. however 93 without a manual is pretty depressing. Ill just keep my eyes pealed to find it, I guess.
God how I wish the pirate bay was legal. Oh well, I think the publishers deserve some profit for a game they spent their valuable time on.

Wow, I'm sure it used to be cheaper. I think I saw it on sale last time at about 80.
Found this on ebay
£39.99 if you buy it now, £9.80 postage. Comes to about $62.

$282?! That's insane!
I got Ultimate D&D Collection brand new for £12 including postage. It's got some of the best RPGs ever made in that collection too. That's about what? $20?
Also, why are Interplay selling an EA property? You may as well download the games from an abandonware site for all the legal difference it would make. That's $282 completely down the drain.
I paid $50 (Australian) For the Ultimate RPG archive when it was released. Still have all the CDs and the chunky manual :) Great little collection, even if some of the games require a bit of effort to get running well.
InXile (Brian Fargo) owns the wasteland rights now, acquired from EA in 2003 or abouts.

So if Inxile has the rights, then Interplay still don't have the rights to sell the title. It doesn't seem like Fargo's too fond of the company anymore (hence the name of his latest venture). So I doubt he would have agreed to Wasteland's sale. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Interplay had legal wrangles over IP they sold.

(imitating George Stobbard): "The Wasteland. Too minimalistic for too much money."
