reaver894: I want Da' Bomb! flavoured "chips"

Im unsure as to if we are referring to the US term of chips being the snack in a bag that we know as crisps in the UK or chips as in the wedges of potato that are like bigger versions of fries, Think the US term is steak chips for em.

Either way id like them
Depending on what you mean, we either call them potato wedges or steak fries while any of these crunchy things are called potato chips or chips

Oh and all of these are considered extremely healthy here as they are a vegetable. Shhh, don't tell us the truth.

A snack food thread in this forum is long overdo especially considering that most gamers live off of this stuff.

anjohl: 1) 99.99% of what most of you ate when you thought you ate Wasabi was in fact Horseradish.
Well, it's like after eating some Pringles saying that you ate chips.
It's wrong, but close enough to be a "satisfactory statement".

P1na: I mean, really? Are these Slovaks totally fucked up in the head? My only experience with wasabi was my first time eating sushi and asking "what is this green thiing"? Answer was, something I don't ever want to touch again. And they flavor chips with that.
Well, duh, you can't just eat it like that, of course that's no good. For the optimal taste experience, you need to mix it with a teaspoon or two of Tabasco sauce first. Enjoy!

Well for me personally, snack foods yes and chips no.
I do enjoy chips, but usually only maybe two or three times a year when I get a craving for them.
Over here we eat them as they come BTW, I'm curious if in other countries people usually eat them with dips.

when you say "I ate some Pringles" instead of "I ate some puree glued together into a form of chips" you admit that marketers won.

Hey, at least you're one of the few here who like wasabi, aren't you? For some reason, your avatar seems to imply you do.

Come on, we're the fattest nation in the world. Dip is indeed used, especially the chips with nothing but salt added.
I think the top dip, if you don't count Salsa...is French Onion here. We also have Bean Dip, Cheese dip to name a few more.

Edit: my mistake I missed the news story, we have been dethroned. All hail Mexico, the new fattest nation.

Not true!

Mexico wins!

keeveek: Mexico wins!
Yeah, I updated my post, I had to doublecheck the current winners. My country is really messed up if we can't even win that one.

A solid #2...although, I wonder if they counted illegal immigrants. We want a recount.

Well I would fit in just fine over there if you catch my drift, but do you usually eat them with dip or is it 50/50 or even less?
I can kinda see it if you're talking about like unsalted flavorless corn chips or something like that, but for most chips it would be kind of redundant.
I have to admit that might just be a personal pet peeve of mine, I don't get people eating things like snails and carpaccio and such and then throwing so much shit on it that you don't even taste the original product anymore.

One may think you deported obese Mexicans back to their homeland to make them win.

Regular Salted Ruffles potato chips. It depends on the person. I'm sure it's a low percentage of people or just during a special event like our American Football Super Bowl party.
Although, I have seen people even dip Nacho Cheese Doritos or something similar.

Or just try to see if Wasasco is still sold some place...

Not in some kind of nacho cheese dip right?
I would like to try some dips sometime, I'm just too lazy to make them.
