Well, TBH, despite having agreed with my boss I would come since Christmas, there's nothing set up here. Two of the externals I'm working with are at an office I have no access to, the third isn't even in Bratislava and my only remaining colleague here is working in a project in Viena, commuting daily. There's just no real point for me to be here, so might as well move around, wouldn't you agree?

I'll stay around Bratislava though, I could have a meeting any time and I'm supposed to be there.
I honestly can't understand why somebody would put stuff on a meat that makes you not taste the meat anymore.

Unless the meat is crap, that is. But hey, to each their own.

There used to be Danish(?) chips which were really good.

They were pepper flavored, and there was a cartoon-styled fox on the bag. Can't remember the name of the brand, but those were really tasty.

Anyone know what those might have been and are they still being sold someplace?

Sounds great! I used to buy lots of Wasabi peanuts, until I read about Wasabi and how much of real actual Wasabi there was in those peanuts.

Those don't sound so bad. The Chicken & Waffles flavored Lays I saw at WalMart on the other hand sound repellent.

Wasabi chips? I'd try 'em. I freaking love wasabi coated peanuts.

They didn't. It was in the hole in the middle =) But I'll say this, none of the Wasabi I've had here has ever rendered it impossible to taste the dish it is supplied with.

A few years ago we were at a buffet restaurant in ZhaoQing (China) and there was a nice looking green ice-cream on offer. We figured it was mint, with an outside chance of green-tea.

Nope - it was wasabi flavoured ice-cream - weird - cold and 'hot' (spicy). I didn't finish the scoop I'd taken :p

And now I have a new type of ice cream to seek out.

Yeah, well, this probably my father's fault. He (and probably my grandpa, too) had the firm belief spices were invented to hide the taste of rotten food. Which is not entirely false, IIRC. The point is, I never had anything spicy at home, and as such the moment you start adding them that's all I can taste.

And when it comes to the really hot stuff - like wasabi - ... Might as well shoot myself in the head and get it over with.

Wasabi is a good flavour, but I find it doesn't go well with potato. Make the "chips" out of rice, though, and you have an excellent snack.

In 2011 we had a variety of odd flavours for potato chips: Walkie Talkie Chicken, Vetkoek & Polony, Snoek & Atchar and Masala Steak Gatsby. Walkie Talkie was kinda gross, to be honest. But the Gatsby and the Vetkoek & Polony were pretty good.

I had wasabi ice cream once. It was the best dang thing in the whole world (except for that one apple, wow!). But i haven't been able to find it since.
