Crassmaster: I really liked it. The entire scene with Morgan upstairs in that house with the rifle, trying to work up the courage to do what he really wants to, while his son is downstairs covering his ears was flat out awesome.
This,
And what about the last scene from newest episode, with a lone zombie among the fields of gold, haha? :D

When my mother and cousin got into it and started renting the books from the library, I perused the first volume and was at first intrigued. It didn't take long, though, for me to become disinterested and even a bit disgusted.

I guess this kinda stuff just isn't my thing.

Someone apparently tried to cash in on it with a horribly written book called "Crossed" which was kinda emulating TWD but heavily into sex and gore. Like it was written by a 12 year old who saw TWD as popular and wanted to do their version, or something.

Andrea's going to be their best sniper in the future. She has a knack for the rifle at long range.
Shane has 3 episodes left before he dies. Unless they change that large core mechanic. But it looks like they are writing toward his demise and the discovery.

Anything else is up in the air.
Robert Kirkman's post apocalyptic black and white dissertation on human nature: amazing.

The generic HBO drama with little besides character names in common with it: meh.

I knew HBO would take a piss on it when it wasn't in B&W.
@anjohl

AMC not HBO.

@HiroshiMishima

You could say Walking Dead is in response to a very crass and poorly illustrated series called Deadworld. And Gore Shriek.

I don't find comic book amazing. Most of the issues look like this:

1. group talking about something very important like love
2. wild zombies apears! splash, splat, bang, bang!
3. group sits on the corpses and finish their talk about love
4. wild zombie appears! they killem all
5. they sit and talk.

And when governor shows up, the comic is getting more and more riddiculous. But it's always like this, when any comic book reaches almost 100 issues.

It's not realistic anymore. Now you have people who remove the jaw from the zombies and keeps them on a leash, etc etc.

Btw. In tv series they solved the thing with the barn MUCH BETTER than in comic book. Shane going insane and opening the barn was amazing. In comic book, as I recall, some wild zombie appeared and bashed the door while they were dragging another zombie inside. LAAAAME.

Is that a confirmed storyline for the TV series?
Because in the comics he was dead long before the farm.
Actor who plays Shane in TWD is confirmed to play in another TV series in one of the leading roles, so Shane's departure is almost certain.

I did not know that, but it does not surprise me. Several people can come up with similar ideas but because of how we perceive them, they obviously won't all go over so smoothly. While I personally don't care for TWD, I'm glad it was done well enough to garner so many fans.

Oh, and in response to anjohl.. wasn't the comic known for having colour pages? I don't recall the entire thing being in black & white. I could, of course, be confusing it with another. My cousin has a fair amount of comics (I was never a big comic book person).
TWD is black & white.
This week on Walking Dead, again. Someone does something stupid and this time it has actual consequences!

And the discussion about the show will once again devolve into whether or not these characters are intentionally hateable and like, people do dumb things IRL man.

Sinizine: This week on Walking Dead, again. Someone does something stupid and this time it has actual consequences!
One reason why i gave up on the series.
Yeah the main reason I quit watching was because the zombies are smarter than all the other characters. The zombies don't behave irrationally, nor do they do things that are obviously contrary to their personal interests (or the interests of the group) nearly every episode.

I hear the comics are really good, though.
Comics: a modern classic tale about people pushed to their limits.

Show: Another random HBO/Showtime generic and completely interchangeable drama.
