To avoid a similar hiccup in the future, the final price you will be paying is mentioned on the checkout page. If no discount is mentioned on the page, then there is currently no discount on the specific games.

Pheace: Unfortunately IamSinistar made that GOGmix misleading there because he added the discount in his notes with every game (Iamsinistar says:....) , but I'm afraid the Summer sale ended a couple of days ago.
No, I didn't make it "misleading", it's supposed to track the prices from the sale.

Maybe you need to pay attention better as well - that GOGmix isn't for the Summer Sale, but for the Time Machine Sale. It ended quite a while ago.

Good thing which sale it was actually for was irrelevant. The point was that, despite how the GOGmix made it seem, those games weren't actually on sale.

Done. Though I don't know that my attempt at a "child-proof cap" is going to do much good. Frankly I never thought someone would do something like this in the first place. Especially not even looking at the total price of the cart before checking out. It's tempting to let Darwinism take its course.

Maybe they thought that the discount would apply after charges? I don't know, can't say.

Better this way than to create mo' problems for GOG staff.

It must be said that I've encountered situations - particularly in automated supermarket checkouts - where you had to go several steps further than would be expected before discounts are applied. I wouldn't enter any payment details if the discount wasn't showing, though!

Instead of being charged a few dollars for each game, I was charged full price when I completed the order.

To be clear, you were looking at a GOG Mix. That's a list of games that a GOG user makes and then talks about the games. The GOG user IAmSinistar made that list so people could track what games were on a particular sale. IAmSinistar is just a guy on these forums who has a passion for informing people about GOG events, he is not a GOG representative at all.

Look at the front page of GOG.com and look at some of the news items on the right side of the screen. That's where you'll find sales.

Yes, in fairness we all should get a pass on things like this at least once. Hopefully the lesson was a good one and not too costly. There are many situations in which it could have been more dire.
