Totalbiscuit: WTF is... Warlock: Master of the Arcane
Warlock: Master of the Arcane

Warlock: Master of the Arcane is a new turned-based strategy game set in the fantastical world of Ardania, popularized in Majesty franchise. Warlock: Master of the Arcane invites players to take on the role of the Great Mage and build a powerful magical empire, giving mightly mages the ability to control armies and wield magic to wage war against another, as they compete with other wizards for the title of Warlock.
Features

Research and master dozens of spells, conjure strong enchantments and find out powerful spell combinations
Use the forces of three races, along with summons and wild creatures
Innovating city management system with less routine actions
Epic battles with large armies marching across the landscape

Liking the look of this. Looks kind of CIV/Master of Magic-ish, maybe a bit limited but it's also being released for just $19.99. Preorders are up on GG/Steam/Gamefly etc.

I am actually really looking forward to this game. It looks like an updated Master of Magic using the Civilization V engine (or an engine that is 80% identical).

Here is a link to a you-tube Let's Play for the the beta version of the game, in case anyone wants to see the game-play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_AwX_uTfsE&feature=plcp

It uses the Fantasy Wars/Elven legacy engine, and not the Civ V engine. It is quite different.
Yeah, after seeing that WTF, i got another "omg, gotta get it". Looks really cool.

I know, that is why I used the term 'looks like' and the parenthetical qualifier 'or an engine that is 80% identical'; I didn't really want to get into the minutiae of it. The engine, game-play wise, is almost exactly like Civilization V; that is the point I was making.
I hadn't heard much about this. Watching the WTF is... is making me want to Preorder the game...

Edit: And preordered. I don't think they could have tickled more of my strategy nerd desires if they tried.

Been keeping my eye on it for a while. Will most probably be a day 1 purchase for me.
Well, the store page is already out on Steam, including a demo. Which is what I'll play now. :P
The game itself comes out in around 12 days.

Thanks, I corrected it in my post. My apologies for the mistake I made.

No need to apologize :P It's not like you hurt me!

Though if you insist, there's a penthouse in NYC I've been wanting for a while. That *might* be enough to buy my pardon ;)
We are sorry, but your video card does not meet the minimum requirements for the game. ;/
Oh well, maybe in a few years then.:)
The game is surprisingly nice, but the demo sadly has no save function. I'll definitely get the full version when it is on sale. ;-)
Nothing against Paradox, but i think this one doesn't look like the typical low budget Paradox games. It look awesome and pretty good.
