The Ciaphas Cain books are really good. Storm of Iron is a terrific one off action read. If you're looking at the omnibus books, Eisenhorn, Blood Angels and both Space Wolves books (though the first is better) are worth grabbing.

From the Chaos perspective, the Word Bearers trilogy (Dark Apostle, Dark Disciple, Dark Creed) by Anthony Reynolds is a good read, but it's all coming out combined in to a Word Bearers omnibus later this year. And there are a couple of books following the Night Lords (Soul Hunter & Blood Reaver) that I've also really enjoyed.

It's actually already out. :P

orcishgamer: There should be a demo, it's the first 2/3 of the first level, pretty good taste of the game.

Oh yeah, Carnifex.

Runehamster: Ick, just gave it a look. No offense meant, I just can't stand dual-stick shooters. My thumbs can't think that fast for some reason. I think I'm going to cancel my Prey 2 preorder and get Space Marine instead (Watched some online footage and Prey 2 looks like it's not going to be very good at all).
I use XBox 360 controllers for dual stick and it is super comfy. I used to not like them but with so many good games (Laura Croft: GoL, Warhammer 40k: Kill Team, Alien Breed, etc.) they grew on me big time.

I should give them another try. I got something free from PSN...Dead Nation, I think it's called? Something dead. It's a violent twin-stick zombie shooter. No good at it, of course, but it's free practice.

I picked up Space Marine on my way home. I hope it's good...the demo was very much to my taste.
Apparently Space Marine came with a free code to unlock multiplayer. If it's cross-platform or other people have the PS3 version, I'd be happy to try co-op or multi :D
