Delixe: Why on earth would they include Abaddon when he is the biggest loser in the whole 40K universe? 13th Black Crusade means his last 12 attempts have all failed.

Delixe: It uses Steam and GFWL as DRM. The game was released bare bones with hardly any single player component. We were promised a lot of extra stuff would materialize over the game's life and so far it's rubbish. Like I said we were promised Eldar and Ork campaigns that so far have still not happened. We were also promised a lot of new SP maps would be added to the campaign but we are still stuck playing the same 7 maps for almost every mission. Basically SP has been forgotten and when you compare it to the original DOW and the sequels you realize just how sad that is.

See? That's why you don't watch the hype. Ever.

My adventure with Dawn of War ended with Soulstorm, but that is mainly because of my current hardware.
I have a question for those who have played Chaos Rising - did they really change Eliphas' voice actor (Paul Dobson) from Dark Crusade like the early videos suggested?

I didn't play it yet, but according to Relic fansite, the voice actor has changed. Sindri Myr's (Sorcerer from vanilla DoW) voice actor is back, however.

Well - that's one reason less to buy the game then :P. I'm just over-sensitive about voice acting (I still have no idea why Blizzard replaced Glynnis Talken with Tricia Helfer).
And Scott McNeil's return may be a good thing, but doesn't have to. He did a great job voicing Sindri, but he also voiced Lord Bale and Firaeveus Carron - and that didn't sound that good. I know that they were both crazy (metal boxes!), but still :P.
And completely off-topic - I wonder why no one comments the Witcher 2 trailer ;).

Tricia Helfer is on a mission to be in every videogame currently being made. Can't really blame her as it's easy work while waiting to get another gig.
Oh and dude, Marlon Brando couldn't have made Lord Metal Boxes decent. Lord Metal Boxes is only fondly remembered because a) It was funny and became a meme and b) He was up again Indrick "WE ARE SPESS MAHRINES" Boreal probably the worst 40K character since Sly Rambo.

Delixe: Tricia Helfer is on a mission to be in every videogame currently being made. Can't really blame her as it's easy work while waiting to get another gig.

I wouldn't blame her if Glynnis Talken didn't want to play this role. But that's not the case, and there wasn't any real (besides marketing - the last thing SC2 needs) reason to make this choice.

I can see why THE EMPRAH wouldn't be satisfied with
this guy's performance.
I didn't play DoW2, but I read somewhere that Kaurava campaign was considered to be a total disaster. I always thought that there was a second meaning to this.

There really is no second meaning. Cyrus flat out tells Thaddeus that the Kaurava campaign was an utter disaster and it's implied that Boreal was incompetent. Clearly Relic are admitting that Soulstorm was simply not up to the usual standards.

I thought you meant they were implying it to save Iron Lore some dignity when in fact they are flat out saying Soulstorm is shit. According to one of the comments on that vid you posted there is more revealed about the fail that is Boreal in Chaos Rising. Just put the game a few notches higher on my shopping list.

I finally picked this up and I have one word of warning. DON'T start a new game! Import a character at all costs even if it means playing DOW2 vanilla again. I cannot believe how utterly rubbish the stats you are given are and you have completely crap equipment. Just played the second mission and I was getting abused even on novice difficulty!
I need to go back and finish that borefest that was DOW2 so I can have my Neverending Hail of Destruction again.

If you register the game, you'll get code for some wargear, plus you will get something extra while playing co-op (like chainsword, XP scroll, lascannon, termie armor, etc.) as a reward.
