This is where we can put all discussion on things Warhammer 40K related, such as the tabletop, books, and games.

I've been in the hobby a little over a year. I'm working on putting together the entirety of the Ultramarines' Second Company. My force also consists of some elements of the First and Tenth Companies as well. My army is very fluffy, and it's not designed to win tournaments, thus, I lose a lot of games. The only army I'm really good at fighting are over Space Marines.

Dawn of War was my introduction to the universe, the book Horus Rising fleshed out the universe and really sparked my interest, then my friend and I picked up the starter set which contained Space Marines and Orks since he wanted to play the green fellas.

I almost started an Imperial Guard army, but do to the price cost and getting laid off, Space Marines are going to be my only army for a while. I may make an exception is Sisters of Battle are re-released though.

I read three book series, The Horus Heresy, Guant's Ghosts, and Ciaphas Cain.

Discuss away!

Neither can I. I have tried to paint some Imperial Guardsmen and failed miserably with wash/highlight.

All Eldar are pricks. Stupid space elves think they're better then everyone.

I'm not interested in the fine cast models. Cheaper material and they are going to be more expensive than the metals. GW is driving themselves into the ground.
Warhammer is very racist/xenophobic...discuss.

(I'm serious here, I want your input)

Harlequins aren't. The Harlequins and the Laughing God see the worth in humanity. It's the rest of the pointy eared pricks that like to stab us in the back before the ink is dry on the alliance.

Well because, quite frankly, they ARE better than everyone :P They're fucking old, and they have sort of technology most other races would call "magic." No wonder everyone else is an insect to them.

Also Eldrad personally warned the Emperor about Horus but the Emperor didn't listen. The entire heresy could have been avoided if humanity had stopped with the 'purge the xenos' for just five minutes.

Do you have any idea how many jobs would be lost in the purge the xenos sector if they stopped for five minutes? Do you? It would send the economy into a halt. It is the foundation! Just for your scaremongering hippy ideas!

Didn't he warn Fulgrim, who then make a deal with Tzeentch?

Wait a minute. Fulgrim and Tzeentch had any deal? All I know that he dedicated himself to Slaanesh.

Yes and when that didn't work he tried warning the Emperor directly through the webway gate on Earth. The Emperor was outraged at the use of witchcraft and blocked the gate. He was a forward thinking man.
