Darn you, Bioware! How can I compare to the witty dialogue and sweeping plots of your finest teams of writers?

...hmm. Perhaps with kitten videos.
It crashed XD

Good thing is, it started. Then stuttered, then died..

But, this works better than it did with XP, so that's a start.

So...start, stutter, die. I assume you know how to tweak games? *starts recorder* "Hallo, tech support. Yes, 'ave you tried turning it on and off again?"

In all seriousness, toggle a couple of things like V-sync. And like someone posted earlier, are you running it with admin privileges so it can create and save to files on your machine?

Putting on V-sync and playing it in windowed stopped the stuttering. But now it lavished a new error, something about rendering...

Error number or text please?

- click the Mass Effect Launcher EXE file and select "Run as Admin"
- try running it in windowed mode instead of full screen (via the config program)
- try changing your screen resolution

Try to restrict the game to one CPU core.
You might also want to try turning Hardware sound off.

Dynamic lighting is another reported tweak (turning it off can help) but your computer would be able to run it, I should think.

I'll be buggered...that hardware sound thingie might have worked! How the **** can that kill a game? It runs smoothly now , no problems at all...

I can actually play that game, hoorah!

So I guess that's it then :-p

What game you want?

The game doesn't have any problems with multiple core AMD processors, in my experience.
