I think it would Professional looking Walkthroughs, or Official Strategy Guides would be a great addition to the bonuses we receive for buying games with GOG.
Not that I would use them very often, but it would be neat to have as a resource right on the GOG site.
What say you?
Sweet. I still have my old Monkey Island 1 & 2 guides. They are so lovely.
A few games already have them. Apache vs Havoc (Strategy guide). Capitalism plus ("Production guide"). Earth 2140 (walkthrough).
More would be better though :)

Also Broken Sword 2 & 3 (walkthrough, with easter eggs at the end)
Great idea. Some strategy guides are absolutely amazing and as imaginative as any other book really. For example, anyone read Dave Ellis's UFO: Enemy Unknown and X-COM: Terror from the Deep guides? They were incredible! It would be amazing if GoG could get a deal for some (some MORE I should add, as posters above me have stated a few games already have them) of these as bonus content. Speaking of which, when are we getting UFO etc? ;)

Yes, well BASS is a bit unique in that respect, in that the walkthrough is not actually an extra as such, it is installed along with the game, in the form of a PDF file in the game directory. Dunno why GOG chose to do it that way, but the manual is in there too, and that IS an extra.
Eearthworm Jim 1+2 had a walkthrough.
Would be awesome if GOG cut some kinda of deal with Prima Games to provide their strat guides on here in PDF format. Doubt it would happen, but their calibre of books is the kinda standard I'd expect from GOG.
Perhaps some staff writers could produce them? Probably too expensive though.
I don't like walkthroughs/strategy guides a lot, because it sort of takes the fun away. Even when I'm stuck in a game, I'd usually just keep trying everything until I get somewhere. That relief that you've done something after being stuck for so long is so amazing, you feel like you've achieved something. Not so if you're just reading off a guide and following what it tells you.
To me, it's counted as cheating, but I do have a very liberal definition of the word "cheating" anyway.

I have no problem with cheating or checking walkthroughs, they help me get through and experience the story that the game is telling without getting hindered by countless deaths and retries, or getting stuck because I have no idea what to do.

prima games would be stupid not to sign on, turning old material that nobody bought into money..
of course, then they wouldn't be free on gog..
I'd pay a small amount of money for a prima guide on each of the games, as perhaps an additional purchase aside from the game.
yeah, I'd pay extra for the guide, not $10-$20 but maybe $1-$3.

Yeah, $1 to $3 would be about right, or something like 2 for $5

Yep me too, and the reuse of material seems a good idea!
