Having Rapelay here would only hurt GOG. There are better 'sex games' out there.

I'm not against such a game coming here, but to the outside most people would see such a move as "Oh, GOG supports rape now?" it would just be a stupid move.

And no, I won't defend murdering people. In the end, both are terrible acts. But I would argue it's a lot worse to mentally damage someone and leave them to live with it... Not to mention most games have you killing monsters and aliens, and the ones that have you killing people, they're usually the 'bad guys trying to x, which is bad!', though occasionally a game will come along that has you killing cops or robbing banks :P

Violence is just easier to stomach for most people. Probably because we're surrounded by it.

Sure, it's sexual violence. Which is different than say gun violence.

If you show people a clip of Rambo gunning a bunch of Russians down, than show them a clip of a rape scene, most people will be shocked and possibly highly offended much more by the rape scene. It's simply seen as a much more disgusting act of violence. I feel that's because everywhere you look, you see a lot more violence in the world involving the killing of others, and movies, television and video games portray it a lot more than rape or other violent sexual acts.

I don't see the point of this discussion. Obviously this game won't reach GOG.com ever, since it's not oficially released in English, only in Japanese, the English release is a fanmade patch I think. Also, it's content is pornographic, a game category that does not usually appear on any big digital distributor, maybe this would be something to speak of, since I think that some erotic games are really cool to play, but the truth is that no digital distributor is going to make the first step these days worried about the public opinion.

I found this thread to be funny, because the author does not only suggest a generic hentai title for GOG, it asks for one of the most polemical H-Games released ever!

In my opinion there is no problem with Rapelay, of course, rape is a horrible crime, but it's not worse than killing, something that we see in a lot of games. I found Rapelay quite entertaining when I played it time ago, and, you know what? Surprise! I'm a citizen that does not rape women on the streets! Indeed, I would not also steal a car and rob a bank. A game is only that, a game, a simulation of life, movies, books... and in this case, a SURREALISTIC rape simulator.

Here on GOG we have some on the most horrible crime sulators out there, and I don't see any problem at all, who wouldn't have a lil fun playing Carmaggedon?

I may take a look of these. Fate/Stay Night was lame in my opinion, so few choices in the game.

I give every game a shot as long as its fun to play.

Well, they all appear to be Caucasian when I watch one, except Afro Samurai for obviously being the only black guy in anime.
