Anyone can find .adf (Amiga Disk File) images, but usually they're poorly cracked or copied versions, resulting in unpreventable Software Errors (Guru Meditations). I'll wager there's more like me who'd pay a premium for first-hand scans of original Amiga game disks for our WinUAE (or emulator of choice). It's possible that the original owners of the IPs, who've taken on new names (DMA Design are now Rockstar, Core are now Eidos are now Square, and so on), might still have the original programs stashed away somewhere. Those Liverpudlian chaps are a mite more fanatic about the machine than most, so that would be a great place to start.

Vote for "Port Amiga Games" (even though, by strict definition, it's not exactly "porting") in the Wishlist.

But they are not PC games, they are console games, Amiga is a console. DOSbox and ScummVM are different of course, because they simply emulate games that were originally on PC anyway, just not Windows.

Get that obscure stuff on here! :) Even ... or especially if it's free. (But if it takes a lot of work to get it out for people, I can certainly understand charging money for the effort.)

It doesn't matter if the games have been legally released as free to play for non-commercial usage, as long as the people who... own... the Kickstarter roms continue to demand money for legal licenses to use them, we'll never see the games here. Or anywhere else.

I REFUSE to support them. As long as they charge money for the needed files to run these games WE WILL NEVER HAVE LEGALLY DOWNLOADABLE AMIGA GAMES FOR SALE ANYWHERE ELSE, because while sites could include the emulator and the game, they'd still have to pay a licensing fee for the stupid rom files, which would increase the price.

At least with GOG, there's DOSBox.

What? The Amiga was never a console, Commodore developed the CD32 system that was a dedicated game console. I think that's what you were refering too. The Amigas' downfall was Commodore's shitty marketing, it was way ahead of it's time, too many 'serious computer users' dubbed it as a toy. It still is my most favorite machine that i ever owned.

At least they are SELLING those ROMs. MS doesn’t even bother to sell their legacy OSs, Roland refuses to sell MT-32 ROM files and Sony does not sell PSX ROM.

In my book it’s better to pay a royalty for using legacy OS and have legitimate way for retrogaming than not to have such option at all.
