Well, hopefully anyway if we show enough interest and GOG is able to get it.

Here's the link to the voting page for it:

And in case you missed this gem back in the day, here is a review for you with some screenshots too:

Currently over a thousand votes for this one!
Voted! :)
Voted a while ago. ;) And apparently, for Heretic III (must've clicked on everything with the word Heretic).
At least you can still get a new boxed copy for cheap enough:

If it's owned by Activision, it seems absurd that we haven't seen it make an appearance yet with that many votes already (assuming it is generally accepted as a good old game). Perhaps there are technical problems; is it Glide compatible?
Ironic, I just purchased the Heretic & Hexen STEAM bundle earlier today. I sure hope GOG can obtain the series (or at least Heretic 2)

Wow! I never heard of those guys. I'm going to order that from them. Thanks a lot for linking that. I'd still buy a digital copy if it were to come here though.

Yeah, I picked up the same bundle on sale and it's sad they don't have Heretic II as well. That prompted me to check for a vote on here and post this.

Well, I cannot say for sure but since vanilla Quake II runs just fine I would guess this quake II engine game would work fine too.

I voted for it a while ago! +1 and Nope don't need it! I have it on DISC! yeah tfishell it's Glide compatible but looks like Crap that way I use the D3D Primary Graphics adapter mode when I play funny enough it had NO OPENGL version.. Strange that!

I bought the heretic/hexen collection for 40% off during the summer sale, because I didn't think it would get any cheaper again.

Then it turns out to be 75% off during the quakecon sale. If I had waited I could have bought it and Quake 2. :(

anyway I voted.
I... voted for it a long time ago, apparently... no real memory... must lay off the booze.
+ 1 + 1 + 1

I would like to see Heretic and Hexen and heap of other FPS ers from that era here...
A really underrated gem (but I still like Hexen 1 more).

Does anyone know a solution for audio tracks not looping on Win7?
Love that game, hope to see it soon here :-)

I guess Activision has the game code and Bethesda/Id/Zenimax have the franchise, so the game is pretty much in a limbo.

Oh. Well, at least you cleared it up, thanks. :(

Hmm, I wonder why GOG doesn't count Zenimax as one of the last big publishers they want to sign. I always think of the "Big Final 3" from that old article that gave us so much hope - LucasArts, Microsoft, and Take 2 - but Zenimax wasn't mentioned. Is there even less hope for them than the others?
Heretic... :) In!
