oh no, they've had oddball games for at least as long. Hell, there were a few bizarre hentai-ish titles on the Famicom even if I recall...

However, out of the admittedly few Japanese games I've played, I've not seen the option to roofie someone. I like being evil in games, and I like warped games...this I'm not a fan of though.

And then I'm going to hope people won't vote for that disgrace of a "game". I'm no prude, but the way it portrays relationships is just horribly stupid and dysfunctional. The way it repeatedly offers the opportunity to beat and drug your "girlfriend" is the real reason to dislike this title though.

Insofar as GOG can be seen as a kind of museum of old games I guess it sorta, kinda has a place here. But I really hope very few people waste their time on it.

I think your opinion is a solid one (along with the reviewer). The only (nominal) value I can imagine is it provides yet another mirror to human nature.

It might be! That would be kinda sad though, I thought I restrained myself pretty well and didn't even say it absolutely should not be on GOG (I just hope, for the sake of my shaky faith in mankind) that few people will actively want this "game" that they vote for it :)
