They even took their "one price" bulletpoint off the front page. Don't know what this regional price thingie is, but they better not mess with the DRM-free part.

They explain why they're doing this.

Quote:
-----
"We wish that we could offer these games at flat prices everywhere in the world, but the decision on pricing is always in our partners' hands, and regional pricing is becoming the standard around the globe. We're doing this because we believe that there's no better way to accomplish our overall goals for DRM-Free gaming and GOG.com. We need more games, devs, and publishers on board to make DRM-Free gaming something that's standard for all of the gaming world!"
-----

In other words, some publishers won't play nice unless GOG incorporates regional pricing.

I hope I don't get booted off the planet for asking this but what is the big deal?

People that aren't US will likely be charged an arm and a leg in comparison.

I think it's a Lighthearted drama series about Robby Box, a small-time London gambler, and his long-suffering family or of [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1833096/]two movies.

same game, 70 euro in EU -> $60 in USA -> $20 in Russia.
It's always like that on steam

I voted,
I just don't understand why thy don't equalize the price, I wouldn't mind paying typical Australian price for a good game.

the big deal is paying more money for the same game because you live in another country
Okay okay I got it, thank you.

Next question, is anyone planning on getting rid of their GOG account over this?

Because there are other currencies other than US dollars??

That's not the core issues though. I'm sure most people would love to pay in USD, as long as they get US prices.

fancy paying 70 bucks for a given AAA game at launch? (sometimes 80 or more)
