I really hate this crap. Can never get my password to work. I've gotten one purchase to work at gog and can't get anymore. Contacted my CC and they helped me change the password, but still doesn't work at gog.com I really hate this extra BS step.
Tried paypal? I think you only have to verify that once and you can use it from then on as long as you've got the moeny available
Yeah, I have sufficient funds. Also whenever I use paypal it takes forever to take funds out of my bank account so that's a no go. Hopefully I'll have this sorted out soon.
You can also pay off your credit card through paypal and avoid that whole 'bank password' step.
Until my last purchase, I was able to skip these things. Now, the 'possibly optional' nature has made it mandatory. Mastercard SecurCard thingy is just as bad, but I can understand what these organisations are trying to do. I just got paranoid the first time I saw it.
However, my main problem is trying to remember yet another secure password on top of the 40 or so I need to know for work and life already :|

That's almost as bad as writing it down!
And a PDA is all fine and good, but if I don't have it stapled to my chest at all times, some student is likely to nick it to sell at cash converters. grrr.

Until they go tits up or get stolen..
Well sir, what I do is buy a prepaid credit card (say, for $25), attach that to my Paypal account (which has my bank account attached already), and just buy with Paypal forever. If there's no funds on it, it just takes it straight from my bank account. This also has the benefit of no fees (aside from the initial activation fee for the card, which is like two bucks).

Ahh well mine basically IS permanently attached to my pocket, hand or charging cable and I do use backups
Finally was able to make a purchase. My CC company had put a block at gog.com but I was still able to buy from steam.com with no issues. Now to play the whole fallout series :D

Easier way to do it: Use the PayPal Toolbar features and generate secure one time or multiple time use MasterCard numbers. Easy, secure, and takes funds out of your PayPal account (I do that quite a bit for sites I never will visit again)

PayPal is brilliant, because if they don't accept your credit card company but they accept PayPal, you can make your purchase without any problems. I rarely use PayPal for this site, though, because I have my credit card number memorized, and it's a lot faster for me to type it all out.
I'd be interested to know which the the cheapest payment method for GOG. I'd happily switch if it meant they got a few more pence from my purchase.

What do you mean cheapest? The GOG price is the same, no matter what payment method you use.
