Zacron: There are some limitations to Virtual Box, but it is still my app of choice for using vintage Windows OSs.

Here is the question I have. If your Keyboard does not work in it, then how did you get XP installed in it?
The keyboard is a Logitech MK-320 and according to Logitech's home page it requires no software installation and it should work with Windows XP.

Finally got the cordless keyboard to work.
It was listed under USB Device Filters, and didn't work since the checkbox was ticked.
Duh!!!

Add Profile -> Mounting -> DOS -> Main ... game-something.bat

Got the same error message. :-(
Also I was able to extract the Irsetup.exe which is the real setup file (the first is a compressed archive), but with the same result, so looks like I'm forced to play the game through Virtual Box.

Yes, I was able to run the exile20.exe file though DosBox, but it still chokes on the Install.exe file. :-(

yes, looks like it needs windows not dos - but there's a way to install Win 3.1 on DOSBox

Exile: Escape from the Pit is a Windows game. DOSBox can only run DOS games directly.

DOSBox can run Windows games by first installing Windows under it but it's generally easier to use Windows in a virtual machine, as you already have with VirtualBox, especially in the case of games like this that don't need direct hardware access etc.
