Very disappointed with gog support :(

I've been trying to purchase Age of Wonders 3 but their system has me misplaced geographically. Cnsequently, I'm being charged Euros instead or Roubles and there's a big difference.,

Over 4 days I've sent 3 emails, with additional information as requested by their auto-replies. Sent two PMs to one of their team - as requested - and nothing.

Really frustrating experience :(
I dont know if it effects it but are you using a method that makes the system think you are in Euro zone such as a VPN?

Just setting you location as russia in the settings wont effect the pricing i dont think.

This is pure guesswork i am by no means an expert on "teh interwebz"

Edit: Also not that GOG is still pretty small and it is the weekend, I cant imagine sending multiple tickets will speed it up, all it does is add to the pile, I believe that tickets are worked on in the order they are received.

Do note it is weekend, and they have to get some alone time too.
Yes, if only we could all be charged $2 while everyone else pays $50-$60-$70. Sad times indeed.

No VPN just a straight connection. Seems it's a problem with gog as Steam detects my location correctly.

Of course, but the first email was sent on Thursday.

Indeed. I also wish I had the same kind of disposable income as my Western counterparts.

I understand, but usually GOG support is very good, might just been a fluke somewhere, and thursday is just 4 days.
Give it a few more days.

Not sure if the thread title is the best way of addressing it....just my opinion.

However, I've contacted GOG support on a few occassions and they've always responded within a few days - so try be patient and if they don't respond by Monday morning.....well, I'd frankly be surprised.

Also, if the delay prevents you receiving a discount, then just mention it and my gut feeling says that they'll honour it.

Perhaps a thread wasn't the best way. However, checking my email, the first auto-reply was actually received on the 25th, not Thursday as I mentioned above. The 31st is the game release date, so we'll see if anything happens between now and then.

Yeah, I wish I had the same disposable income as those in the US apparently have. But instead of getting charged a lot cheaper, we usually pay twice what those in the US are charged if not more!

But to answer your (implied) question, GOG doesn't do RU pricing (yet) as far as I know. I'm pretty sure they said additional currencies such as that one would be coming later this year. So if you want the cheaper price now, you'll probably have to buy on Steam.

Under any other circumstances, I wouldn't recommend it, but Hola Unblocker works with GOG. You can set yourself to RU on that and the price displays 599 RUB.
Have you actually put the item in your cart and made it to the stage where you pay for it? The correct price may appear if you do. GOG's site is glitchy...

Sorry to hear that, they usually answer in 24 hours if they recieved it on sunday-thursday, but you said 4 days, still I'd give them 2 more days before doing something as drastic, such as a charge back.

This sort of thing happens when companies are lazy and use bad scripts to automate processes. Many false positives.

edit: bad link, ill get correct one
