I can not get to the quest marker for the Hatred quest to find Zoltan. That Vergen map is a confusing diaster. I would deeply appreciate any hints 0r suggestions here.

The entrance to the tunnels is outside Vergen. (There is another entrance in town, but it is not open to you at this time.)

If you are coming from the mist and the cursed battlefield, when you get to the intersection where the elves are loitering, go straight (instead of turning left to return to town).

If you are coming from the town, turn left when you get to the elves.

Check the attached pic for a map with the tunnels entrance and the path you should follow from Vergen outlined.

That was a very confusing part of the game. But thankfuly the graphics are so pretty I did not mind walking through town for a few hours until I knew where I had to go...

Which one ?

If you mean the marker for this quest i think it will become visible once you go inside the tunnels.
