That may be, but what I was trying to get to is that GOG apparently doesn't think there's enough business in these games. So it's up to the people interested in buying them to convince GOG that there is indeed business here. It's not really about the game being the best of the best or anything, as I see it.

I feel a good game store should have as broad a selection of games and genres as possible TO attract more people. Every thread I find about this game has people saying things along the lines of "I was going to buy this, until i saw the DRM".

This game is very good, I love the voices, music, art and fighting style. So, I want add to my collection in GOG.

Note: The GOG version of StreetFighter is a port very poor... but VanguardPrincess is a native PC Game and even you can play in Linux with wine.

Well, leaking such information would be considered as highly unprofessional in the business. Contract negotiations are supposed to be confidential, and if GOG violated that expectation, it would hurt them.

I agree that the message looks copy-pasted, but that's because this question gets asked a lot, and why should GOG hand-craft individual answers for identical questions (only the respective game is different, but that doesn't matter for the answer).

The general fact is that we can't comment, speculate, or engage in idle chit-chat about games, which ones we may have, which ones we may not, and the whys, wherefores, and whatnots about them. Not just because of legal reasons but because there are tons of games that we elect not to carry on GOG.com, and stating reasons why other than "we can't talk about this" is a sure-fire way to upset a legion of people somewhere. I trust you understand that there are tons of games that are great games, but not ones that we think will do well on the service, and so we have to politely decline.

EVERY Game should be on GOG, just because of getting a DRM-free buying -option for it!

I appreciate your passion for DRM-free gaming, but I can't fathom a world in which I'd be happy to see Extreme Paintbrawl on GOG. :P

O.K., that´s a point for you! I wouldn´t also really want COD on GOG! (although it would be good for your marketing)

But Vanguard Princess seems not to be a game like Extreme PaintBrawl ;)
In fact, it seems to be quite inspired by other great fighting games around here!
Oh, and you could use your new "gaming option" (http://www.gog.com/news/new_gaming_options_followup_survey) to experience the reations to this game presented here!

All of this makes sense and I do understand. I only just discovered there was even a translated, retail version of this game to begin with, was all set to buy it then discovered it was DRM'd. I'm caught up in the "god dammit not another game screwed over" phase.

Also hearing the publisher say "proposed it to GOG a few times but they weren't interested" can't help but make one want to know what exactly happened.

Never heard of this before, but I'm certainly interested on the basis of YouTube videos.

By the looks of the "Other DRM" on Gamersgate, I have a sneaking suspicion that the publisher wanted to release on GOG with some kind of inherent DRM. I remember TET mentioned not long ago that they had a few offers from developers that were contrary to the DRM-free principle here. Maybe this was one of them?

On that note, does anyone know what this "Other DRM" is before I go googling after work?

I was wrong: EVERY game was exaggregated: Every good game fitting into GOGs actual cataloge---which are nearly every games I´m interested in!

I can't nail down exactly what the DRM is, some say it's SecuROM, others say it requires request of a 24-hour key to install, others say it has a one time activation, I can't get a straight answer, not even from the publisher themselves.
