ReynardFox: "I'm afraid that I can't comment on any upcoming deals and releases (or lack thereof)."
Quite a disappointing form-like response from GOG support. :/
Psyringe: Well, leaking such information would be considered as highly unprofessional in the business. Contract negotiations are supposed to be confidential, and if GOG violated that expectation, it would hurt them.
I agree that the message looks copy-pasted, but that's because this question gets asked a lot, and why should GOG hand-craft individual answers for identical questions (only the respective game is different, but that doesn't matter for the answer).
The general fact is that we can't comment, speculate, or engage in idle chit-chat about games, which ones we may have, which ones we may not, and the whys, wherefores, and whatnots about them. Not just because of legal reasons but because there are tons of games that we elect not to carry on GOG.com, and stating reasons why other than "we can't talk about this" is a sure-fire way to upset a legion of people somewhere. I trust you understand that there are tons of games that are great games, but not ones that we think will do well on the service, and so we have to politely decline.
