Elmofongo: 2 things to stop that:

Lighter and Oil Cannister.

And I beat that game in Real Survival Mode as Chris Redfield

fr33kSh0w2012: Yes and Did that too.!
You played the game as Chris? I thought I was the only one everyone who plays the game always plays as Jill because of her 2 extra spaces and her access to the Grenade Launcher.

I personally think Chris' playthrough in the REmake much better in terms of character dialoge. The acrting is better between Chris and Rebecca than Jill and Barry, even Wesker in Chris' playthrough better acted.

fr33kSh0w2012: That's Disgusting! Hmmm.. I have a friend with LOTS of badges that I seem to not be able to get! Now I think I know what he May be doing! I won't dob him In though I won't do that because he's a friend!
Your friend probably just buys the cards on the market. They usually cost ~0.1-0.2€ each.

Anyway, I suspect that one thing that Valve did not expect was all of these "greenllight bundles", basically inflating the vote count for certain titles. It's not quality that dictates which game gets in, it's the amount of begging for votes & giving away free or very very cheap stuff that is the deciding factor.
My only issue I have with Greenlight is that it seems that if the community votes it in, Valve rarely actually looks at the game to approve them, thus you get very bad games onto steam.

Mind you Greenlight has brought in good and even great games onto steam but I think that they should keep Greenlight but Valve it's self go over the games and make sure they arn't garbage. In otherwords, don't remove Greenlight, just take a fresh look at it and look at how to improve it.

"good" and "bad" games are subjective. the whole point was to get other games a chance - the ones that community considers "good", rather than just the ones that valve considers "good"

Good in the sense of not WarZ, or Towns... I don't mean fun good I mean quality and playability... when Towns was first released it was horrible, and probably more evident and more known about is the War Z, Steam needs to do something so that those games don't make it on... that's what i mean lol.

amok: god... 74 million active users. a 15% increase from October.
I tried my best to avoid Steam, I always buy either physical copies of games or on GOG

Then I bought Fallout New Vegas (physical copy of course) and I could not install it without making a Steam account.
Then I wanted to buy Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV and the latter was only available on Steam.

So I feel quite roped into being counted as an active Steam user, because despite the fact that I do *not* want to use Steam, here I am using goddam Steam (granted only on those games where I have no other choice)

I hate Steam, I really do. And it's a scary number of active users. Good for PC games in general, if there is a silver lining.

Me Also I got an AMD card and It had free games Which Needed Steam [GOD DAMN STEAM] I finished HL2 and the Next Day while I was playing Hl2 Episode 2 half way through I was like WTF did just update.. then Blammo steam achievements (this was when achievements first sprung on us) I said Aww.. Noo.. WTF did they do I quit the game Looked at HL2 And saw ALL THE ACHIEVEMENTS WERE LOCKED I WAS FURIOUS! I Hate steam with a passion I only buy games there If I can't get them Here on Gog because I live about 50 miles away from any physical games store! boy am I pissed!

I want to Kill the Bastards who thought Let's annoy gamers, Let's put achievements on everything when I play a game I play it from start to finish and to me IT'S FINISHED! not arse around in the game world trying to get every thing it just fucking annoys the Shit out of me when these PRICKS think it's Funny to fuck with gamers! it pisses me off!

Yes it is quite infuriating when one is roped into Steam without actually wanting to, but kinda can't say no. Feels somehow "mafialike".

"Say, nice game you got there, I'll let you play it if you give me your personal information and install my adware/spyware/DRM platform, it would be a shame if you can't play it".

(sigh)

I can't always get physical copies from the local store, they only carry the "latest" and it's usually not what I'm looking for, so I actually order games online and get them sent by mail. Takes a week to wait for the game, but it feels so much better! And it's nice to get a package in the mail :)

Kind of offtopic but they DO deliver stuff to Australia. Depends on what it is. More often than not if the product is direct from Amazon and not from the dozens of third parties on their, they will delivery to australia.
