How is Fistpuncher?
Picked up the new Rise of the Triad... Anyone know if Trine 2 is as short as the first one ? Because if it is, I'm not buying it...

I could never get it to run.
Nice! Is there a list of which ones are co-op?
Nice promo, but I already have everything that I wanted. Though I may change my mind about Painkiller.

...so ronery
Hello everyone! I was browsing the promo list, and I found some games that seem interesting but I'm not sure about buying: can you give me any advice about Megabyte Punch, Capsized and Rise of the Triad (2013)?

It's longer, plus when you finish it it unlocks a bunch of bonus levels. Also has online multiplayer although I never tried that yet.
Anybody know if UT 2004 still has people playing? I'd love to fit some c\old school competitive FPS into my gaming life.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Hammerwatch, especially if you have someone to play with. Co-op is really awesome. For the current price you can't be wrong even if you are going to play it alone. Yes, it's a buttonmasher but a very pleasant one. Simple yet entertaining. Perfect mix if you want to relief some stress.

I've just finished the first act of Omerta and I would say that for 8$ it is a decent deal too. Contrary to the popular opinion It's definitely not a bad game per se. It's just terribly overpriced. But for 8 bucks it's really good deal. The gameplay is not great but tactical battles are good enough to keep you entertained. Strategic gameplay is much weaker, repetitive and not really challenging but it's still not that bad. I would say it's definitely worth spending 8 bucks on it.

I'm still not certain about Speedball 2 HD, The Chaos Engine, Megabyte Punch and Fist Puncher I would appreciate any comments about those

Johnmourby: This is good. This is very good. It might be a pariah on this site but maybe it's time I considered Omerta?
I've written a bit about it here:

I would say that for 8$ the game is good enough to try it. If you have any question feel free to ask (I haven't finished the game yet but I think I know enough about it now)
Thank you GOG. SS2 and UT2004 90% discount; love you guys!
Freaking awesome! GOG, be my Valentine!

Just wishlisted the PixelJunk titles yesterday and now I can get them today for cheap! Time also to get my GOG version of Ring Runner. Still on the fence about Speedball 2 HD, it sounds like a really duff remake.

Megabyte Punch is a servicable platform-combat game. I really like the graphics, and the music works well. Customising your character is the heart of the game, and if you like this genre of titles it's a safe choice. Nothing particularly mindblowing about it, but it gets the job done.

Capsized is interesting and appealing in a lot of ways, but it gets infuriatingly difficult as you get deep into it. And not in a fair way. A lot of folks have complained about the absurd lethality of it in later levels, which reach a point where you have to get every part of the level just right, and even a seemingly minor mistake will cost you the whole effort. I uninstalled it before ever finishing it.

Rise of the Triad (2013) was disappointing to me, but I'm not the FPS player I once was, so perhaps that's part of it. But overall it didn't feel like much fun, and the game seemed a bit poorly constructed with the enemies being capable of shots they really shouldn't have been.

EDIT: And I'm throwing a vote in with all the other Hammerwatch supporters here. Easily worth the asking price, and a heckuva lot of fun! Gauntlet reborn, with love.
