Apparently, we now have your troops on our land, and apparently Obama said it was about "Placing his chess pieces in the right spots.". Apparently they will be bringing tanks, jets and other militrary vehicles and supplies.

Apparently chess = Queen takes king pawn, defended by bishop. Checkmate.

But seriously, apparently we also need protection from new guinea...

PAPAU NEW GUINEA! of all the things to be protected from!
oh and apparently china, but were selling them coal as it is. Unless they want to move 1 billion coal miners into our country, i doubt they would attack. (Always a possibillity though.)

They're not going there to invade or play in a massive sandpit. They're just doing training with the ADF in the Pacific. This isn't some black ops shit they're pulling or anything.

Critical thinking is an awesome skill to have, as it happens.

Nope I think they are more worried about China...But don't forget the Indonesians if they wanted to invade us its only 20+ million of us and 250+ million of them.

From the BBC:
The troops are there on a six-month rotational basis and will take part in training exercises with the Australian Defence Force.

Welcoming the troops, Australia's Defence Minister Stephen Smith said the decision to host them was a response to a changing global balance.

"The world needs to essentially come to grips with the rise of China, the rise of India, the move of strategic and political and economic influence to our part of the world," he said.

In a joint statement, Mr Smith, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Northern Territory Chief Minister Paul Henderson said the deployment was ''an evolution of existing exercises and activities'' that the defence forces of both countries are already engaged in.

I think that counts for most of south-eastern asia, maybe except for china (im not sure of our relations with them) I know our relations with japan are probably alright atm too.
