Delixe: Thank god we have people like Graham Linehan and Steven Fry on the anti-DRM side.

Without the humor we would be weaponless!

Stuff: Yeah, only had his avatar to work with, I will try to find a better image . . .=)
Edit: Fixed

Yeah, now he's sexed up a level!:P
I take it you read order of the stick Uruk, I got bored of it after a while, it just went on and on and the story went weird.

You won't save your self by taking your way out of death paladin.Once we get there you will all be doomed.

goblinmapreader:Here we are the paladin city
me:This is a weapon mart.I said paladin city not a weapon mart.Give me that map.
me:We when the wrong way!!How the hell are you the map reader if you can't read a map?
goblinmapreader:I'm the new map reader in training sir.the old one died after drinking a cup of coffee he got at star bucks.
me:Send word to the other goblins to get ready for a raid.Do it fast or i may kill you.
goblinmapreader:Yes sir.Right away sir.
Why pay for weapons when you can get them for free and new undead minions at the same time?

Stuff: I just stopped buying new game releases. I find it amusing that Ubisoft and EA are taking DRM to an even more absurd implementation based on the same or similar data.

Lobsang1979: This has been my exact reaction to increasingly more intrusive DRM methods

Me too. I know I'm in a minority but it's good just to know I'm not the only one!
When I sold my copy of NWN, I could unregister my CD Key on Bioware's website. Now I need to log in with my new Bioware account just to play DA:O with the content that came in the box. Sorry, publishers, but you are not getting any more of my money for this. Show me some respect or go away.
Most of my time in gaming stores is now spent browsing the $9.95 budget collection - and there are some good finds to be had there these days!

Except it didn't come in the box.
Given the problem of piracy, I think you're asking far too much of publishers if that's not a good enough system for you (i.e. lots of free content you have to go online once for). Why not complain to ATI or NVIDIA they don't mail you your drivers personally each month? :P
Any excluded content to this point I would say is non-essential anyway.
I don't think you'd feel the same if you were a publisher.

My problem isn't that I have to go online to download the content. I have to log in just to play the game using the DLC that's "included" in the boxed copy that I bought. A single player game! If there's a problem logging in, I can't play!
The doctrine of "first sale" has been also circumvented - there is no way for me to resell the game, or pass it on to a friend without losing a lot of the "out of the box" content.

But it's not included. I think there was one batch that was ready to go at launch...they excluded it to fight piracy. There are much worse methods...at least to me. If it was essential content I'd be annoyed but it's not. And there's an insane amount of content in it already. Your not being able to play thing is false. I have tested it.
Agree about first sale and that is unfortunate.

Hey Chautemoc, getting ready to watch Let the Right One In. Saw the trailer and it instantly made me smile, the little love story is amazing.

No you don't. You can play completely off line once you've installed and authenticated the content once.

The trailer is perhaps somewhat misleading.
I agree. It breaks my damn heart in the best way.
Now go watch. Pay attention! :P

I stand corrected and apologise for the FUD - I used to just quit and restart when I got an "error logging in" message, so I must have never tried it.
