Can't do that before drilling pressure relief wells next to it as it wouldn't solve anything. The ships that are going to dig them are en route though.

I'm with the Russian's i say nuke it. They'd finally be put to good use and it would be great to see. Put a few boats around the place and make it at least a megaton.

They are not going to get this thing stopped until the relief wells are in place. They better start concentrating on cleaning up the mess on the surface before the whole Gulf coast is ruined. I would have been sucking this stuff up from day one.

Maybe they should stop trying to keep this an American problem and get the world involved to help because the this affects everyone in some way whether presently or in the future. If James Cameron and Kevin Costner can solve this then good for them.
