It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Just a short reminder to everybody before I go to bed:
Firefox 3.0.6 is out and while the fixes are not what Microsoft would report as critical, they really are critical enough. There's one cross site scripting attack and two crash bugs with signs of memory corruption.
Fixed issues

I updated yesterday, but it's a good idea to do it if you haven't yet.
Just did. Thanks Hans! Now if I could get an update to make it run better....
Thanks for the notice. With XSS attacks being rather popular it's good to have one more patched up.
I still use 3.0.0. I never update. I just don't.
I'd urge you to rethink that policy. Updates fix security risks among other issues.

but can sometimes add security issues..
But that's an unlikely circumstance. Much better to update to patch known issues than to be paranoid about something that may or may not happen as a result of the update, IMO.

But it's better to open up a new security door that no one knows about yet than to leave one open than all the thieves are already walking in and out through. At least, that's what I've been told. Obviously it'd be great if new patches added no new vulnerabilities whatsoever, but even if they did they'd be worth it to close the old ones.
Done, cheers for the notification.
Now, to use those notes on getting rid of that "remove button disabled" dotNET3.5 update related plugin Microsoft forced Firefox to accept...
Well, they just install it via the normal Firefox global addon system. The problem IMHO is not that they do, but that they don't ask the user about it.
Anyway, global FF addons are registered through HKLM/SOFTWARE/Mozilla/Firefox/Extensions and plugins through HKLM/SOFTWARE/MozillaPlugins
Just go to these paths with regedit and remove whatever you don't like.
P.S. Known vulnerabilities are much more dangerous than new ones. You really should update your system.

edit: blah.
Most of what I just wrote does not make sense. So, I'll retract it until I'm coherent in the arvo tomorrow..

What extensions do you have installed? There are a few resource hogs (like Google Toolbar) that can cause problems. Also, you might want to limit your history to a few days, as searching across months of history data can take a while and since Firefox3 integrated the history into the location bar, that may become a bit of a problem.

Just ChatZilla and the Personas extension. I might run CCleaner and clear out my history. Although I ahve tried to run the game in fullscreen mode my ping is ridiculously high and my hardware sucks. I at least managed to eliminate the browser as the problem.

Ah, you're talking about QuakeLive, right? Not a whole lot Firefox can do about it as QL uses it's own network stack, it's own blitting routines and so on and so forth, It's really just Q3 compiled as a plugin.
