Good Games Never Get Old, but They May Drop in Price.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Prices have reached new lows for Mr. Bree+, which has dropped its price from $9.99 to $2.99 permanently. Recent speculation in the pork futures market has lead to a steep decline in estimated value of anthropomorphic pig-persons, and as a result you, my dear gamer, can pick up this awesome hardcore platformer about a pig, a kidnapping (pignapping?), and a journey home.

Maybe jumping and running and falling and dying and jumping again isn't your thing? Don't worry then, because we've also dropped the price on Restaurant Empire--it's now just $5.99. If you've ever dreamed of being a restaurant tycoon whose knowledge of the industry and skill selecting sous-chefs make you a superstar, then this is incontrovertibly a game for you! Select everything from the food that's on the menu to the font that's on the menu, and see how your actions result in a successful Restaurant Empire!

Oddeus: I am wondering, why it has to be a loss of 70%. It is a bit radical.
As Maighstir said, there is a recent thread about the price drop of Bree on every other digital retailer. The reason is very probably due to the devs willing to hasten the cycle of life of Bree and generate a money influx in the process for their next project (or just for the sake of getting money).
Radical is one very efficient way to make things happen :-)

I've heard Mr. Bree is pretty good but I've also heard that Mr. Gouda and Mr. Cheddar are a lot better.

*bows*

I'm not proud! :P

Mr.Bree is pretty awesome. It's a lot like Super Meat Boy. I already have it from some bundle. The price drop is maybe too much. Maybe 4,99$ would be optimal. For this price, it's a steal.

It joined Super Hexagon into 2.99$ ('steal') club :)

lol first time i read this I actually read it as can't remember :D
I don´t think that this pricepoint can help Restaurant Empire anyways, but it´s nice to have Mr. Bree+ at that point.
I´ll pick it up sometime...

what's up with the reviews and ratings, lots of people saying restaurant empire is not that good yet it gets a 3 1/2 rating total.
We can´t allow the developers to dictate us such small prices! If we want to pay more, we will pay more! To the chequebooks my friends!

For some reason I'm intrigued by Empire. I won't be getting it today and maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I have some sick compulsion to get this game.
While Restaurant Empire is worth the $10, a price drop is still reasonable because there's a sequel that's actually a standalone expansion with the entire base game included, so there's barely any reason to buy the base game at all. But I'd have thought Enlight would also release the sequel here, to coincide with the price drop.

Maybe they don't want to release here anymore because of their recent love affair with DRM. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

you can buy several copies and do nothing with those codes. :p

Oddeus: Mr. Bree should not have a price drop by 70%. The game is worth more. Doing so the developers sell it at a loss and will not have any money for developing new games :(
Welcome to the modern digital market.

Such pricing has become commonplace due to hands being forced. It's very much a case of "be careful what you wish for" - developers and publishers wanted a free-for-all open market with low entry barriers and zero cost-to-manufacture, they got it. And prices adapted accordingly.

Oh, I've thought that this is the first game here with a 2,99$ price tag.
Though, it would be more appropriate for Mr.Bree to join VVVVVV, Gateways and Shuggy at 4.99$ (almost steal) club :D
