This is a thread for upcoming games you may or may not be excited about.
First off:
Syberia 3
http://www.microids.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syberia_3
A Playstation 3 port might be available, but is solely dependent on Sony.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
http://www.deusex3.com/
There will be a regenerating health system (similar to Call of Duty series). :(
Love to see games you have heard about/move other discussion of upcoming games here.

Syberia 3!
Woot!
new deus ex: probably going to be awesome. but it's still going to suck, because it's not "teh old gaem lulz"!
Garshasp
Homepage
(improved) Trailer
This game is made by an Iranian Indie company called Fanafzar Company who are current pioneer in the raising gaming industry in this really f- up country (history and national wise). They worked 6 years on this game without any money. Even some more liberal parts of the IRI supported them alittle, but it wasn't a realy big help. Personally I think it was just a scheme of them to look over the project and to countermove it if it contradicts with the Qu'ran.
This game will be a PC exclusive and be released at July in Iran. Release internationally will probably be some months later, depending how the Western distributers negotiate(hopefully, neither Ubisoft or Activision). Unknown if DRM free or not, but they read my blog comments and I suggested them no DRM.
Game is a mix of Prince of Persia and God of War. "Garshasp is a symbolic recreation of the spirituality, grandeur and mythical atmosphere of ancient Persia", and deals with the dragonslayer Garshasp from the Garshaspname. I never read it, but as far as I can see it in the Shahname, the book is really bloody and brutal, in a Homerian or better Tolkien sense.
Funny thing is, they planned to do this as a RPG game in a Diablo II like design, but they scrapped it after they played the old Prince of Persia games.
I am exited for this game. I have always been the adventure gamer, and Fanafzar is trying to revive the good old action games back in 2004/2005 like Prince of Persia: Sands of TIme and God of War before they got worse under the Next Gen Poison. Also, PC exlusive? Hell yeah!
I will keep you in track once the game is out.

Deus ex 2 kinda sucked, mostly because the game play wasn't up to the originals standards. (the story was still good though and I still liked it)
And I'm sorry but regenerating health isn't very fun for me, not being able to know how much more damage I can take or the distraction of the red outline really gets to me.
That sounds pretty interesting Tantrix, it kinda sounds like a God of War + Assassin's Creed mix. ;)

I'm not overly concerned about the regenerating health. I'm more annoyed by the fact that it will apparently automatically switch to third-person perspective in certain situations, such as when taking cover or using certain biomods, "so that you can see your character doing something cool."
That kind of thing is typically jarring - it puts me in mind of the last Turok game, where stabbing a raptor with your knife or climbing a ladder would briefly rip you out of your character's head. DX1 and 2 (as well as some other first-person games, like NOLF) switched to third-person during dialogue and extended cut scenes, but physical gameplay was always first-person, so it wasn't bothersome.
There's also a biomod called Multikill, which I gather plays a brief third-person cutscene in which you kill multiple enemies at the same time in some unspecified manner - sort of like the "smart bombs" in space shooters that wipe the screen. Another lets you punch holes in walls, which would actually be kinda cool (DX3 takes place during the era of mechanical biomods of which Gunther and Ana Navarre were relics), except that if I'm not mistaken, the ONLY thing you can do with it is grab enemies that are standing on the other side and pull them through (why would you need to do that?). I'd bet that one plays out in third person, as well.
Not to get hung up on the details (which I may be a bit off-target about, anyway, as it's been a while since I read up on DX3), but I have to question the thought process that goes into creating such nebulous powerups. Why couldn't they have implemented "multi-kill" as a neurosensory stimulant that still leaves you in full control (bullet time - Fear did this too) and bring DX1/2's augmented strength into a more destructible environment? Those would be cool biomods. Multi-kill and... uh, wall-grab are just silly ideas.
I'm still going to give the game a fair chance - I still found DX2 to be an okay game, after all - but I've heard more details that I don't like than details that I do like.

Fix'd that for you. Garshasp isn't near the concept of AC. It's a linear action-adventure plattformer with hack and slash elements, AC is a stealth-adventure game in a open free world.
Incidentally, can someone explain the concept of a "cover shooter" to me? Apparently DX3 will have a "cover system" during firefights, but I don't think I've ever played a cover shooter, so I don't have a clear understanding of what that actually implies.
I mean... if you're standing behind a wall, then you won't get hit, right? Why do we need special controls and mechanics to govern that? How does that even work?

it has decent fire-from-behind-cover systems, with reduced visibility etc. like gears of war (in b/4/ "bawww xbawks si teh suck")
I would pray for Deus Ex 3 to be good on a nightly basis if I was religious.
I'm excited for Fallout New Vegas and Postal 3, which will hopefully come out this year if they can get a publisher here.
Fallout New Vegas - Hmm... a lot of potential. But I'm not overly sure it's going to live up to it. Stil keeping a close eye on it though.
Mafia 2 - There's no doubt in my mind that this one is going to rock.
Alpha Protocol - Obsidian's problem has always been not having enough time. That shouldn't be a problem with this one.
Aliens: Colonial Marines - I'm somewhat in disbelief that this one hasn't sunk. If it makes it to the shelves eventually then I think it's got every chance of being one of the best licensed games made.
I can't think of many upcoming games that I actually care about. Maybe I'm just not paying attention.
I preordered Amnesia on a whim during the humble bundle event, so I'm looking forward to that one.
I adore the Thief series, but Thief 4 is likely a long ways off, and I'm not holding my breath for it to be any good. I haven't heard anything about Deus Ex 3 that makes me actually want to play it, either.
Starcraft 2
That pretty much sums it up for the summer.

I have only played Prince of Persia 2, so I don't know much about it. And sword fighting in Assassin's Creed looks similar to the combat in Garshasp. (I haven't play any of the God of War games either but I know the game play) :)

It's like the cover system in Gears of War, Mass Effect, arcade game Time Crisis, and Uncharted. Where you automaticly "stick" to the wall (usually with a push of a button) , you will probably go into third person (gah); but it's played just like before you just have to press the aim button to temporarily to lean and shoot from behind cover.
Video demonstration.
The game Killzone 2 had a first person cover system, so I know it's possible. I can always hope. :)
Also Wikipedia has a list of upcoming video games, here.
