There is a bit game history happening.

Unreleased Wizardry 8 Stones of Arnhem concepts, sketches, maps and creatures are put on e-bay. Lots of info can be found on RPGCodex in this tread:

http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/why-did-sir-tech-go-bankrupt-ebay-auction-now-live-witness-history.53695/page-45

E-bay seller is:

I wish the same would be found for Ultima 8 The Lost Vale and other lost gems.
And of course, that GOG gets Wizardry's here.

Damn it, why am I so poor? I would bid on it now, but I know they I'll be outbid by hundreds of dollars soon enough. Looks like the RPG Codex donation drive is a more practical option for me.

Yes contribute to the donation drive. That's the best way to go about preserving history without artificially driving up the prices. It would really suck to lose the items to someone who has more monies, and has no intention to scan and upload the goods.
I couldn't care less about this crap. I want another Wizardry game! Is that too much to ask? Evidently, yes :D

Yes, the donation drive. Stuff like this should be put in the safe and public hands of groups like RPG Codex, not some lone collector.

Now, if only somebody could get ahold of a certain something from Ultima 8. Specifically, The Lost Vale. It's incredible to believe that every last copy could have been lost, and that not one employee had a copy of it in any form. It's gotta be lying in some basement or yard sale somewhere, it's just gotta be! :P

WCCIC team got a change to dig into EA Mythic's archives few years back but while they unearthed tons of Origin era material, but so far they haven't found or at least published anything related to The Lost Vale unfortunately.
