This is going to be awesome, anyone else looking forward to this movie? It apparently skips the one with SETH, which was also the lamest IMO, and continues where Deveraux is needed to kill poor Dolph again. I am honestly surprised Van Damme and Lundgren kept in that good of shape at 50 and 52 respectively. Original 3 movies were cool enough I'm getting Regeneration on DVD for sure.
A friend watched it and hated it. But who knows? Maybe you'll like it.
I think I'll watch it, eventually. I remember enjoying the original a lot.
The fact that it ignores all the shitty movies after the first does mean there's some hope for it. We'll see. We'll see.
I get the feeling this won't end well.
The first one wasn't exactly the pinnacle of great film-making, but there was something very cool about it.
I get the feeling that's more from luck than planning though, so i doubt they'll be able to recapture it.
Anyone seen JCVD?

The first movie was good and had some classic one liners. The 'sequels' were bloody awful.

The first one was pretty good.
I never watched the second, but I actually enjoyed the third (with Seth). Not necessarily as a US, but as just a fun sci-fi action movie.
Then again, I have pretty much been a fan of JCVD since he realized that he couldn't act and that his career is in the crapper. Like Second In Command, which was actually pretty entertaining (if cliche'd).

Hard Target was a good piece of acting :P
Original was awesome and the best, people can bash it if they want I still wanna see it sometime. The series was actually decent action movies from the 80's and 90's, which when compared to other crap floating around at the time like American Ninja. Universal Soldier was really good old fashioned action films.
