Inspired Licurg's "King of Dragon Pass" giveaway last week, I decided to do my own giveaway of one of my favorites. Ultima 7 is sort of an "everymans' library...of games", and with the sale going on, I decided today would be the day to do it. Guess a number between 1-1000. Please only one guess per person, and please do not repeat numbers. If two people are the equal amount of distance away from the number (for example, if the number is 5, and one person guesses 4, and another 6), then the only way to decide who gets the game is in MORTAL KOMBAT!...or I'll just give away two copies. If anyone is willing to pitch in additional copies, go right ahead. Winner(s) will be announced Saturday, June 29, 2013!

UPDATE: Thanks again to all that entered! The correct number was 333. Since there were a lot of people entering, I decided to giveaway 4 copies. PS Technically these closest number games are not fair in the sense of each participant having an equal probability of winning. Later participants always do better than early participants, since they can choose points to maximize their win probability space.
