I admire your optimism, trust me if Ubisoft comes back on GOG in the next months I call shenanigans and officially consider them to be complete wackos/loonies/jackasses (I've high standards for my "official" stances. Bear with me).

I never thought the second-hand market would be so important as to force game companies to deploy very restrictive DRM measures to counter it.
Ironically enough it's in these times of most restrictive protection schemes that reselling your game would come in handy.
I personaly never resold any of my games... for some of the new titles I would have considered it after all.
PS: Didn't Ubisoft make an official statement somewhere their new DRM was specifically targeted at fighting Piracy? Ubi is naive after all...
