Don't know if this has been posted already: http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/13/ubisoft-shows-interest-in-thq-assets/

I figured the GOG community would be interested in this as it could mean the THQ games eventually coming to GOG, though I realize alot of "ifs" would have to happen.
Makes me wonder how saints row will be under ubisoft.
If they don't leave Metro Last Light alone, they are dead to me... again!
Woah even EA would be bettter.
So long as those studios and games are preserved, I don't care who they end up with.

Holy shit this. Even Origin is better than Uplay

But EA would than add co-op or Multiplayer to Darksiders and make Homefront 2 beecaues they still believe they can use whatever MMS to compete with COD.

I don't know what they would do to Saints Row however.

Sadly, I must agree.

And I doubt they'll have time to mess with Metro. Isn't it due out in Janurary? They better not mess with it and push it back a bunch.

I'd love to see someone take over the Warhammer 40k games and make a freakin' turn based game. Way too many RTS's out there already, and I can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on game pieces to play the board game, not to mention that I don't have any friends who would be even remotely interested in playing.

Maybe they'll turn it into a gritty street gang drama?
RIP Saints Row and COH. Hopefully COH2 makes its way out before any crap happens.
I wonder if that means there will be another Dawn of War, Homeworld or Impossible Creatures?

Live THQ, live!
Am I the only one that would prefer an acquisition by Ubisoft over one by EA or Activision?

Sure UPlay sucks massively, including in comparison to Origin, but Ubisoft grants its devs more artistic freedom and regularly churns out superior titles to what EA and Activision usually chuck out.

Of course, the best case scenario would be to revive THQ, but it seems that the company is just suffering from endemic mismanagement and saving it is a bit of a tall order.
I seriously doubt THQ would sell off the Saints Row franchise, it's too good a money-earner for them. They have a WWE license don't they? Probably sell that off like they did the UFC one.

Yes, because they don't have their own OLDER modern warfare franchise ....
