To celebrate the announcement of Ubisoft® coming to GOG.com, we're giving you a chance to win the complete catalogue of GOG.com Ubisoft® titles announced so far, which includes: Beyond Good and Evil®, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time™, IL-2 Sturmovik™: 1946, Heroes of Might and Magic®, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon®, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® and Far Cry®! The rules are as simple as can be: all you need to do is to buy at least one of the games released yesterday before Monday, March 30 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. If you've already purchased Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time or IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 at GOG, you've already entered! We'll draw one lucky winner from everyone who purchases one of those games to receive the rest of the Ubisoft titles when they're available.

Bolek: Its lottery. Not "we will pick person we like most"

Well I didn't exactly mean that, I mean whoever it is then might not help out with compatibility stuff is all.
So when do we find out the winner?
I think someone has misread the first post somewhere along the line. All it says is that the winner will get the games when they are available (ie, when released). It mentions nothing about testing pre-releases.

Well I speculated that since this would be the first time a GOGger would own games in advance of release, that it might provide a unique opportunity to help out testing compatibility. Presumably people were running with the idea
But where does it say anyone will own the games in advance to their release on GOG? I've read and reread the post and can't find any such mention =/.

Oooh no, I didn't mean own as in having a copy of the game from GOG on their HDD before anyone else does, I meant own as in effectively having paid for it and having it marked in the users account as an owned game. Probably should have said 'marked as owning' or something.
Because this was the first time I'm aware of that GOG would know with 100% certainty that a user would have the games, they might be able to use him/her/it as an outsourced (and free, even better than the usual outsouce slave wages) compatibility beta tester.
The day has come :)
Our drawing machine has picked the lucky winner who will receive all Ubisoft® titles that have been announced last Thursday (of course aside of the game/s that have been bought by the winner), as soon as they become available. These games are: Beyond Good and Evil®, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time™, IL-2 Sturmovik™: 1946, Heroes of Might and Magic®, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon®, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® and Far Cry®.
The GOG.com user that will receive those great games is... *drums* OlPaint01! Congratulations to the winner and thank you all for participating in the lottery. Remember you can still win free games in Beyond Good and Evil® photo contest and IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 plane skin contest. We're accepting your screenshots and skins till the end of today!
Damn!
Well done mate, hope you enjoy them.
