This Easter weekend we have on offer [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/ubisoft_mix]a special mix straight from Ubisoft. The hand picked mix of games by the Easter Bunny includes such classics like The Settlers 2 Gold, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Far Cry, IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and more. You have time until Monday, April 25 at 11:59 p.m. EDT to grab or complete the whole mix from Ubisoft for half the price or get your hands on selected titles from the offer with a 30% discount. Happy Easter everyone!
I like the fact that there are only 14 reponses so far and of those 9 have been pretty negative.
Somehow I feel better when it's not just me that's disappointed with GOG, even if they don't care.

Aningan: I don't get it. People have been complaining about the "up to" sales in the past and they keep coming with them...
We don't see the actual sales stats. We only see a minority that feel inclined to complain. GOG however do get to see the sales stats, and judging by the fact they keep doing them there's a fair bet that enough people buy the pack to justify them continuing to release games in this manner.

That said, I would prefer a clearer distinction between the pack and the individual games. When Steam does something similar there is a pack with a fixed price and the individual price of the games. It's a degree of separation that helps avoid complaints and disappointment.
Expected a better sale for this weekend...

You could say that about every DD site. None of them seem to have taken advantage of the Easter holiday.

KavazovAngel: If you're buying Far Cry...

... make sure to install the FCAM mod!
Thanks for the tip. Just bought the game, so I'll check it out.
I agree with Aningan. and with Smannesman (to some degree).
As a pack this means nothing to me.
Totally different games that happen to be from the same *re*-publisher.
I see Ubisoft as a middle man, just gobbling up other companies and acquiring their crown jewels. This is quite different with companies that have a certain genre or even style that binds their games together in a pack. As such it would be more fitting to honor the companies that once were, instead of the publishing houses (mind you, not developers)
Settlers 2 is a great game, but for a game from 1996 it's overpriced, even if it's 30% off.
It almost seems that the upto-offers are made in order to sell titles that don't do well at the moment. Wake up, if you don't lower the *normal* prices for these games, they will remain dogs rather than top-sellers.
@Smannesman: (...) even if they don't care.
Oh, but they do care, they are flaunting the great community backing at presentations.
We are their customers, their lifeblood.

Driver looks interesting to me at the 50% off price point. But not at 30%. Well, maybe next time. I'm not in a hurry.
Hard to say when I bought my last "Up to" sale. I am typically not interested in an entire package, especially when games are overpriced to begin with (e.g. Settlers II).

I think the rush of buying DRM free games is past and people are becoming more particular in what they spend their money on at gog.

For me also, I do not buy until I read the forums and see if people are having problems with the game, as it seems the likelihood of a game being corrected is highly reduced once it is out for sale.

I am still waiting for a Gorky game fix after 2 years now.
Not real exciting this week, only picked up Far Cry

That should be exciting enough. I can't speak for any of the other games, but Far Cry for $7 should prove to be the best purchase of your life. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and definitely my favorite shooter. =)
Somehow I was expecting something more inspired for Easter Weekend.
Settlers 2 is nice, though.
Well, here's a positive comment - I like the bundle. And I would have bought it, have I finished all the games I bought from the Christmas sale.

I really don't mind having games from mixed genres bundled in one package as I don't have a particular favorite genre.

I like the bundle too, and I bought it. Any one who suggest Settlers II is overpriced is a fool :P. Nostalgia is subjective after all.

Sorry, this one is of no interest to me,
The two games in this deal that I really want - Far Cry and Prince of Persia - I already own. So I'll be passing up on this deal. Guess I have to wait until Friday for the next deal.
