Aliasalpha: Actually no, with a guarantee of DRM removal on a pre-set date and barring other stupid drmmy side effects like needing to ask permission in writing to pause the game so you can go to the bathroom, I'd buy them immediately
This sounds nice... but I doubt any company would think this way. If they are going to pay for the DRM anyway, it may seem "wasteful" to them to just throw it away after a while...
Also - the "always online" thing DOES make sense but only for REALLY multiplayer-oriented games like L4D or SC2 (and even these DO have an option to play offline single-player, if you really want to)... But - Settlers :\ ?
I know the Interwebz are a great thing for computer games but I demand a subset of them to be the offline-capable stuff I'm going to need a few moments from now...
