That's a great refresh for the series. I've not played AC much, just a hour or so on a friend's system, but I'd say, the setting is most welcomed.

Here's to hope that they will do the next one pre or during WW1. Or maybe some Asian place / setting, like the Korean War, for example.

I'm suspecting they will take it to the Russian revolution like in that comic spin-off. That would be pretty cool.

Starkrun: by overdone im talking about so many countless games "go to America" or have American themes in the.. AC was unique in that it rarely if ever touched on it..

it was refreshing... look at Fable, it started awesome, ended up with guns and muskets and American theme.. im tired of devs just pulling the "USA" card when they run out of ideas...
I know, and don't get me started about music, it's so overdone with the guitars and the vocalists too.
Enjoy:

if this anything to go by, then it looks fine to me.
also despite claims it's completely pre-rendered much of the quality isn't upto previous AC pre-renders I'm assuming it's game engine..
Was just watching The Patriot, with Mel Gibson.

This scene must be what Assassins Creed 3 will look like, especially when he starts fighting with the Tomahawk and dagger.

I've only played the first game. I really disliked the over-arching story of Desmond and his situation, but running around killing people was great fun.

Sitting on benches, not so fun.

Honestly, the first game was a tech demo. The second game REALLY shows you what the series is all about. And the constant flipping back and forth between time periods is pretty much toast, too.
That just made me sad... and miss the better looking cut-scenes in the prior AC's :/
So now that the game is out and many people have played it...how is it?

Give me the good points and bad points about it

How does it compare to 2 and Brotherhood?

Not goger impressions but I read this thread yesterday. (I haven't played any of the series so I can't comment) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=499177

I hope George Washington is a vampire in it, otherwise I won't get it.

Meh, if you look at Ubisoft's history, AC's franchise is just supposed to literary kill off the old PoP-series(Two Thrones anyone?) merging it with all other games which Ubisoft dropped or killed off (Settlers, Splinter Cell, Beyond Good and Evil). Added with Dan Brown bullshit since his fucking medicore books were bestsellers in the US.

Ubisoft is just a French version of EA, better not buy it outside GoG, guyz.

thanks

The impression that I'm getting here right now seems to be that it's similar to FO:NV, half baked and unfinished with cut content, looks like I'll be waiting for the "Compelte" version of this game a year later or I'll grab it cheap for console if they fix the issues

Well let's be honest here, even if Both publishers have the absolutely terrible attitude of cutting content for "Day 1 DLC" and shipping unfinished games so they can sell you the rest of the game later as DLC

At least Ubisoft has the guts to try something new and push something forward, EA sort of had a similar approach like 5 years ago but that's changed obviously there isn't a single game from them that I'm looking forward to this year

What I'm more pissed about is that there is STILL no fucking sequel to Mirror's edge despite the NEW IP selling MILLIONS

On the other hand, there's the fact that there's also no sequel to PoP08, so I'm kind of Aggravated with both publishers but then again, I'm Aggravated at almost everyone in this industry since there's so much bullshit from many Publishers/Developers

Ahem, no, this is plain bullshit. The last years just involved
1.)REHASHES of old franchises, with SHINING BLOOM GRAPHICS and DLCs and baby difficulties so any retard can play it.
2.)social media MM0 shit and casual "family" games
3.)Merging any of their older titles into clusterfucked AAA titles (see Assassin's Creed series)
4.) Distributing smaller studios and ruining them financially (Bloody good time)
5.) Releasing their own DRM plattform

Ubisoft is doing EXACTLY what EA does the whole time.
