Today I reached the momentous and absolutely meaningless milestone of having two little stars under my name. I've been looking for an excuse to give away a game, so I guess that's it. :P

I enjoyed the recent insomnia promo, but one thing it was lacking was the classic D&D titles. Those games are something every GOG aficionado should have access to, and I figure there may be some new folks around who were sucked in by the promo and thus haven't picked them up yet. Or else there are procrastinators who've been here for years and somehow have yet to buy these games for themselves.

Rules are simple:

1. If you want to be in, say you're in. There are two parts to the giveaway. For part 1, choose one of the following games that you would like to play:
* Neverwinter Nights
* Baldur's Gate
* Baldur's Gate 2
* Planescape: Torment
* Icewind Dale
* Icewind Dale 2

Part 2: Thanks to the generosity of a certain Coelocanth, Neverwinter Nights 2 is also on the table. I will select this independently, so you can enter for both part 1 and part 2 if you wish, but you can only win one game (either NWN2 or your D&D game of choice).

2. Open to anyone, no rep or date restrictions, but you have to say why you want the game you pick. No entering on other peoples' behalf this time, please.

3. You get a bonus entry if you correctly guess which of the above games is my favorite. :)

4. On Monday May 26 I will randomly choose a winner to receive the game of his/her choice, and I will also draw for the NWN2 bonus prize.

I didn't forget it. I've just never played it. I don't like giving away games when I can't be confident of their quality. I suppose I should get around to playing it one of these days...

I'm in for Planescape : Torment, because I want to understand if this game is a true gem or just overrated by some players who have the nostalgia of the elder RPGs.

I've always been more interested in Icewind Dale than the others so that's the one I would pick up. Because, you know, I always hesitate to buy it and in the end, don't do it.

Next on my list would be Planescape: Torment but I already have it (and have yet to play it).

My guess for your favourite would be Baldur's Gate as people seem to really enjoy it.

I'm in for Baldurs Gate, reason being I really like the sequel but I've never played the original!

People like all these different games for different reasons, but I'm going to guess that your favorite is Planescape just because I think it's the greatest game ever, and hope that you agree with me :)

I think I forgot to mention why I wanted it: because it looks awesome, and it's the only one on the list that I've never owned (Digital/Retail) before, and I've been wanting to play it for nearly a decade now.
