I love gog, it's probably my favorite digital games service, but I've been thinking about two features that would make it even better.

1) save credit card data - Steam and other sites do this, it would be nice if gog did this to so we don't have to find our credit cards every time we make a purchase.

2) an iOS app to make viewing gog.com and accessing your account and the forums easier. I'm visiting relatives over the holidays and the only device I have to access the Internet is my iPod touch 4g. I love Steam's iOS app, it would be awesome if gog had something similar.

Actually I do think that optimizing the site for browsers for portable devices would be pretty sufficient. GOG is as anti-mobile browser as possible.

The wishlist allows you to vote for site features, I expect both your requests are already there, so go vote for them.

I expect you will find heavy opposition to this both from the community and the GOG staff. GOG's security policy (as well as being secure) is to keep the minimum amount of personal data necessary. Once they store your card data, it makes them more of a target, and it makes a breach all the more serious.

I see your point on this, it would probably result in more people actually taking advantage of sales when they're somewhere without easy access to a desktop. However as Fenixp said, it would be better to not go platform specific, and just make a mobile version of the site.

Didn't GOG staff even ask about this in one of their polls and the community pretty much said 'no'?
