just bumping this because i am pumped about a new potential space quest-like game
So, to no one's surprise, the Two Guys from Andromeda are going to seek funding for their new game through Kickstarter. They have set up a poll where you can vote on the Kickstarter reward tiers before they go live:

The Kickstarter is live! And has already gathered nearly a thousand backers and $61,742 of the 500K funding goal. It also features a pretty impressive cast for voice-overs, ranging from Glados, to Team Fortress 2 Sniper, to TMNT Raphael, to Starcraft 2's Jim Raynor. And Gary Owen as himself. Which is awesome.

Join us, why don't ya? ;-)

Thanks for the link.
The Two Guys from Andromeda have produced a small playable prototype:

Unfortunately, it requires Chrome and a Google account. It's not much yet, but they will release and expanded and improved demo for every $100,000 pledged on Kickstarter.

Can't say I am really thrilled about the HTML5/JS thingy, I really hope it's only the "prototypes" and not for the final game.

I believe they haven't decided yet what engine they're going to use for the final game. For now, they're making the prototype in HTML5 because it allows them to develop and change things rapidly.
is it rude of me to bump this in case anybody wasn't aware of the kickstarter?

It would have been rude not to bump it.

Cool video. It's nice to know these guys still have a sense of humor. We are really lacking in genuinely funny games these days. The only recent one I can think of is Sam 'n Max, though I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Not sure if you guys have seen this video but its pretty funny, and retro awesome:

That's seriously awesome. You should post that on the Kickstarter page (if you're a backer).
New reward tiers: $45+ backers will receive an autographed art print, while $75+ backers will now receive a T-shirt too.
