This has absolutly NOTHING to do with gaming but its a harmless enough thing to bring up. Am I only one watching the New Years Twilight Zone marathon?
Greatest show ever. Well, after Baywatch.
My favorite episode is "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" Your thoughts?
Used to watch them and ejoyed them.

Bought a second-hand dvd box recently. Not re/watched many of them yet though.

Interesting aspect : orality. Twilight Zone episodes make good conversations material, people telling each others about epsodes some have missed. Brings back oral tale sharing in a very natural, spontaneous and enjoyable way.
there's no marathon here but twilight zone rocks the socks

That show makes me paranoid that one day I'm going to find a watch that can freeze time. Then break it by accident.
You are not alone. I watched a couple of episodes before going to sleep last night. It's hard for me to select an absolute favorite because I enjoy nearly every episode, but "The Monsters Have Arrived on Maple Street", "The Howling Man", and "To Serve Man" would all make the list of finalists.
Used to love the original series, not so much when they decided to do the relaunch of it (Outer Limits also)

I also remember watching the Twilight Zone movie, love it to this day. Need to get it on DVD and let the kids watch it at some point, think my 11 yr old son would like it.

Stuff like Twilight Zone, Outer limits and Tales from the Crypt tended not to get to much airtime here unfortunately. Used to be on Channel 4 late 80's and early 90's late at night. Its also really difficult to actually get the DVD box sets of them, you have to import them usually from the states (Play sometimes have them) and if your DVD player isn't multi region then have to spend time backing them up onto discs and removing the region restriction.
No marathon here either but I started watching it again recently. I only had seen some episodes on a tv rerun when I was younger. Only now I'm seeing all the episodes and I agree. It is the best show ever made.
yes one of my favorite anthology series of all time Tales from the Crypt, Outer Limits,Amazing Stories and Tales from the Darkside are a close second. I had so many favorite episodes of the original series that it's hard to pick just one but among my favorites are Monsters are due on Maple Street, The Lonely, The four of us are dying, People are alike all over, A world of his own, The Eye of the Beholder, The Night of the Meek, Twenty two, The Obsolete Man, A Game of Pool, One More Pallbearer, To Serve Man, and The Little People to name a few.

Also the classic series is on Netflix.

It's one of my favorite shows. Was upset about not getting basic cable anymore since I couldn't watch it on scifi, but luckily it's on ME too (and they aren't edited for time like on scifi).

I thought I watched most of the episodes except for the hour long episodes when I was watching it on scifi but there's a lot of episodes I don't remember seeing before. <_>
Twilight zone is my favorite
Obviously, i didn't see any marathon, but the original show was awesome. Wish some of our TV stations would show it again someday. Sadly, they don't care much for television classics, ST:TOS premiered here in 2001..
I'm watching the Syfy Twilight Zone Marathon right now. People Are Alike All Over is quite good. I watched some of it yesterday. I didn't remember seeing The Night of the Meek before and I can't help but think they should have showed it on Christmas morning too.

Edit: Thinks for pointing that out adambiser. I don't want anyone to think I like Twilight let alone that I'd watch a marathon of it.

CowboyBebop: Twilight Marathon
That would be something completely different. I do believe. :)

On topic, the Twilight Zone is great! Love that show. I forgot that they do a marathon on New Year's. Thanks for the info.

I've been sick since the weekend, but maybe I'll catch an episode or two.
The one season where they decided to make it an hour-long show instead of a 30-minute one had several episodes that really dragged, but as a whole it's one of the best shows ever made. (The next season they went right back to 30 minutes, so apparently they realized it too!)

Also aliens.

How is that obvious?

Personally I find marathon a lot better. Makes cliffhangers useful. :P
