My google fu has failed me.
I remember playing this game in probably the mid to late nineties (but the game may have been older). It was probably an rpg since that was what I normally played. The only thing I remember about it was in the opening animation the voice over guy had a Scottish (I think ) accent and said the phrase "...walk the corridors of High Hall...".

Any ideas?

That is very little information to go by. Are you sure you can't remember anything else? What perspective it was? Or anything about the graphics?
Not really. I was hoping I just get lucky and somebody might remember that Scottish voice over :)

I vaguely recall that the backstory in the intro my have involved a ghost stalking those aforementioned halls....but I may be totally making that up.

I don't recall the actual game play at all. I know I had about 12 dozen D&D games ( and D&D knockoffs) around that time--but I researched a good bit into them and couldn't find anything.

Oh well....Scottish voice over guy's game may remain a mystery forever.

Or, you'll be sitting on the toilet not thinking about it, and it will pop into your head.

I'm still trying to remember what the P&C adventure game with the Greek mythology triva was, I would have thought it would be a TLC title or a Sierra title, but neither of those was correct.

At some point, I'll probably ask, but even with that amount of information, I still wasn't able to turn that into something I could ID.

EDIT: I know it wasn't Diablo, but it wasn't by any chance the same guy that did the VO work on it, was it? He sounded a bit like Sean Connery, perhaps the game you seek is somewhere on his CV.

Nope. I'm not sure if it's really older, but it looks more like it was done by the same folks that did King's Quest 5 and P&C games of that era as in it was animated the way the old P&C adventures were. I should probably create a new thread for that.

It's mysterious because I don't see any record of it's existence at all. And I believe I've clicked every link on moby games from the earlyish '90s. I'm guessing it was probably mid '90s just because I was playing on a Compaq sporting a 90mhz processor at a friend's house.

We really need a subforum for these sorts of discussions though.
You made me think of that :

"You play a "raptor", a futuristic thief that raids ancient archaeological sites that have as yet been untouched by man for hundreds of years and are full of treasures. Recently, due to geological disturbances, the supposed home of the Holy Grail is partially unearthed in northern Scotland. You go in to raid it of its treasures and, provided it exists, of the Holy Grail. When you enter, the entrance caves in behind you and you are stuck inside."

edit : another one with some speech : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fcxq_XE844&feature=relmfu ...doesn't sound very scottish though ...

=> Azraël's tear.

Very long shot.

Nonetheless, this game has an awesome story/intrigue, as I recall. I was quite young by the time I played it at a friend's.
